@Oscar
AFAIK F-16 aren't compatible with Chinese AWACs.
However, i read sometime back that they could be made compatible with ZDKs by use of ground systems as interface.
So, does Pakistan as of now possess such capabilities to use ZDKs with F-16s?
N if yes, then how effective will it be in...
10-15K MW Nuclear Reactor would cost around $20 Billion min.
Plus since Pakistan doesn't have NSG waiver nor does it itself posses any huge reserves of Uranium therefore Uranium supplies for such large scale reactors also remains questionable.
IMO a mix of nuclear + thermal(similar to the...
Nope they purchased nothing, it a JV where the platform n control systems r from TATA but the gun is from Denel.
As i said earlier ONLY IF they win the contract else the JV will come to an end.
As far as DRDO or OFB is concerned they r definetely pretty either to enter in the Indian gun market...
Bcoz there is no TATA or L&T gun in first place itself.:)
In Tata's case they r only providing the platform(i.e. Truck) n the gun is from Denel(blacklisted).
So all Tata will be doing is licence manfucturing of Denel guns that too only if they win the contract.

i thought SL-Pak were good trade partners but it seems the trade between the two neighbours has been rather stagnant over the years.
Infact SL-Pak trade was $500m in way back 2010 itself n in 2013 it came down to $460m.
There were even talks about taking the trade volume to $2bln by 2012 but...
No its not the same engine, HAL initially tried to use Shakti on LUH but that didn't work out.
Dhruv is very good platform for high altitudes but its twin engine, medium lift heli while LUH is a single engine light weight heli.
Sui ka kam Talwar se nhi kiya jata.
Those pics that u have seen...
@niaz sb its always a pleasure to ready ur posts n thanx for all those links.:)
But as i said earlier its only a 2 month old news so not much info is available currently.
Since they both required similar land area to produce similar power but with huge diff in cost, so i asked the question...
The project was recently approved in Sept 2013 itself. So, not much data is available about it.
All i know is that the reduced cost is bcoz of fall in prices of Solar panels in US n China. The total cost of the project is INR 30,000 Cr. n will require 23,000 acres in total.
While the first...
Why the cost of setting up solar farm so high in Pak, I mean India is also setting up a 4000 MW solar plant in Rajasthan while the cost of first phase of 1000 MW on similar 5000 acres is INR 7500 Cr.($1.25 billion) while in Pak its $2.2 billion, thats almost twice the amount.
But question is why we normal people(not the Govt.) is so enthusiatic in making temples every now n then, Don't we have enough temples already???
making donations to d!ck heads like Asha ram but not interested to donate in orphan houses or rather funding even a single child's basic education...
So r u suggesting we should stop all the development projects bcoz some scam might happen n start building temples on every corner of street.
The point remains the same temples brings Zero development rather they open up another charity box for the sake of making more gold statues while half of...
