Bulk of Chinese financing goes to three CPEC projects

The east/west development difference you have noted is a bit similar to the situation in China. As you noted nicely, it makes perfect sense to focus on the east initially where the majority of the population is. This will deliver the maximum economical benefits in a short period of time, which...

    PLA in International Army Games-2018

Thanks. That makes sense. I am still struggled to distinguish between 96b and 99a2.

Britain reveals brand new 5th generation fighter development!

It is not surprising that European countries will come up with their own 5th gen jet fighter at some point. They have a lot of experience and technology in aviation sector. Also having a European lead fighter program is important to uphold an independent and self sufficient defense aviation...

What are the most lactose tolerant areas of the world (Arabia, Europe and Pakistan leading)

I am not entirely sure that low consumption of dairy in East Asia and China in particular is due to lactose intolerance. I think it is more to do with the fact that we historically have been agricultural dominated economies and more productive in producing grains. Because of the limited supply...

Pakistan Army's VT-4 Main Battle Tank | Updates & Discussions

Regarding your question on cooled thermal image sight, there are many sources that have mentioned cooled thermal image sight is in the standard VT4 configuration. Naturally I have not seen a VT4 myself (which makes me one of the fanboys :)) or have any knowledge as to whether it was not included...

COULD THE CASC CH-5 UAV BE AN OPTION FOR PAKISTAN?

So do US and Israeli drones:-). Someone’s drones may not go home too.

COULD THE CASC CH-5 UAV BE AN OPTION FOR PAKISTAN?

CH5 looks so awesome. On a side note, CASC should probably name the new plane as CH4 xyz as opposed to CH5 as the customers who have recently purchased CH4 may feel their plane is outdated given the high speed of the product release.:yahoo:

J-31 possibly being tested & evaluated in Pakistan

Very interesting. Can you please reveal which planes it resembles the most?

J-31 possibly being tested & evaluated in Pakistan

I understand your point. It could be underpowered (I would say it is relative) but I am not sure it is a showstopper. If we look at another (reasonablely) successful 5th gen project in F35, it has been criticized for a underpowered single engine since the project started but it doesn’t go to the...

EU, China vow to uphold international trade order

The European leaders finally realized that they are not part of “family” and this is the moment of “every man for himself”. The only way forward is to work against protectionism and promote free trade.

J-31 possibly being tested & evaluated in Pakistan

Not an aviation expert, but have kept a keen eyes on the aviation development. just want to point out that if we look at J31 in context, it is the 5th 5th gen fighter in the world in flying condition, which is a tremendous state for a aviation project. One can stay hesitant about its drawbacks...

98% of Chinese would reject receiving refugees: online poll

China is just a developing country, with average income well below mid income countries. However, given I am an humanitarian I would support China to take some refugees if US can 6 refugees per 1 refugee to China considering the income gap. In addition, I doubt any refugees would like to go to...

    Xinjiang Province: News & Discussions

My friend, this type of project cannot be judged solely for an economical point of view, particularly not on a standard alone basis.it has its strategic merit which is far beyond the economy. You are quite right there are other more appealing projects but they are complimenting not competing in...

5 years of CPEC and the condition of Pakistan's economy

Well said my friend. The work over the last 5 years was only to lay the foundation for developing a solid, manufacturing based economy. CPEC is not a short burst project but is a long game aiming for a long term, sustained economic growth. :-)
