Means assuming fixed cost of electricity tariff (~ ₹ 6.40 per kW-h), WAP 7 (with transfer cost of...

Bombardier to supply 47 additional Francilien trains to Île-de-France Mobilités in Greater Paris

That really looks swanky! & one thing i noticed with exteriors, no sharp edges. Must say designers have done really neat job with aerodynamics of the train that apart from making it looking suave also cuts down drag and makes it energy efficient. Kudos

China 'firmly opposes' PM Modi's Arunachal visit; India hits back

Can senior pros answer the question here please @MilSpec @Joe Shearer @gambit The way i see it is that whole premise that J 20 will make everything else irrelevant is indigestible to me. I'm not discounting the capabilities claimed for J 20 but as yet it is not battle proven and more...

China 'firmly opposes' PM Modi's Arunachal visit; India hits back

That is true, but you have to account for changes that India too would be going in terms of its fleet size and quality. by 2030, we are expecting AMCA and large number of Rafales along with one more VLO aircraft in Indian Inventory along with much superior AWACS and ground based Radars. The...

China 'firmly opposes' PM Modi's Arunachal visit; India hits back

Just 2 things, i'm not sure if J 20 is a game changer yet. It isn't battle proven and more importantly nobody knows (based on information available on open forums) of its RCS and effectiveness as an integrated weapon system. I would be more concerned with asymmetric fleet size of Indian and...

China 'firmly opposes' PM Modi's Arunachal visit; India hits back

We tend to think of use of N weapons very casually but remember any first use of N weapons apart from the fact that it is going to bring some kind of proportionate or disproportionate retaliation, also makes you utterly isolated in world community. China is one of the biggest economies in the...

    Indian Railways updates

What operating ratio means is that for every 100 paisa earned, IR is spending 95% with remaining 5% as surplus. So essentially lower the operating ratio, better for railways. The surplus money is basically the reminder that IR can use for newer capital expenditure such as new lines...

BR to buy 125 luggage vans to bring essentials to city

Bilal Bhai, i'm not sure what kind of wagons BD Railways is purchasing but given same track gauge size (1676 mm) and about same axle rating (~ 20Tons per Axle) in Bangladesh, there should not be much problem for Indian Coach makers to make such wagons. Here is how LHB (which BD railways) is...
