If they are also among your main export markets, i.e. Europe, North America, then the possibility of trade retaliation can make Pakistan’s position even worse. Yes, that’s the theory. However since Tarbela is also a primarily for electricity generation, it’s not Going to substantially alter irrigation. Will increase life of Tarbela but if you want massive irrigation, there’s no alternative to Kalabagh.

I made no point on the thread topic itself, just a thought about so much focus on a dam which will do very little irrigationand almost no focus on that by Pakistanis here.
