I watched the whole movie, thanks for the link. I think it shows a version of the events on this controversial topic. I used to think Jinnah had made a mistake, nowadays I am not so sure. I think the leaders at the time did what they thought was best and it is not for us to judge them now, because we can no way understand what they were going through a century ago, to follow a course of action and to make the decisions that they did.
My logic for thinking like that was that over time because of higher birthrate among Muslims, from 25% we would reach 40% and even more than 50% given sufficient time. Also, I believe in Historical Continuity, a hypothesis that I have developed and another theory about size of population being directly proportional to the power of a state. So if we did not have partition, my estimate is that we would have the most powerful state in the world, because of both of these two factors.
