  • When you have the really good Universities number by the handful, the competition is bound to be tough ! So I suppose the Universities too go for only the best and the brightest and then later do they sift through all those applications in a holistic manner by looking for every thing else other than academics that define you and to be honest some of their graduates really are exceptional.

You know if you guys offered courses in English instead of Turkish...I too would have very strongly considered Turkey for my Undergrad ! :(
Thank you for visiting Pakistan and helping my people out - I will not forget that !

And as for promise : If my Mom sees me with a girl, even if shes just a friend, shes going to chop me up and feed me to our pet goldfish ! :D But don't worry I'll manage to keep my end of the bargain !
    I'm sorry...what did I wrote to a wrong profile ? :(

Here in Pakistan the rules are a bit strict because the number of good universities and I do mean the actually good ones aren't that many, so the entrance requirements are a bit tougher. I believe they require any prospective candidate to have studied at least Physics and Mathematics for 2 years before entry into a Bachelors program in Architecture at the University and have secured pretty darn good grades in them too. Plus you also have to get a good Scholastic Admission Test (SAT) score too - both in SAT General and the Subject one...so its pretty much like hell. That is if you'd want to join the best universities in Pakistan...which by the way, with respect to the rest of the World, isn't saying much.
I find your responses reasonable and fair, anyway Ignore trolls like Hongwu and SinoChallanger both are trolls and usually post false or fake news.
Architecture...thats nice. My little sister is interested in the same but her Mathematics isn't that great :)
I don't know anything about Cypriot architecture but I've always been fond of the few old Ottoman Era buildings they show whenever Turkey, especially Istanbul, is depicted.

Its a nice profession and I do wish you all the best in carving out a niche for yourself in this field.

P.S If you ever come to Pakistan...I'll show you how the Mughals and other dynasties managed to create works of wonder by fusing what maybe called as Islamic with traditional Indian Architecture.
*facepalm* Thanking a post 30 minutes after you've already replied to it - damn, you must be really bored :P
I dunno I just can't stand them - I'm more of a novel person. Sipping coffee and reading Khalil Gibran or Paulo Coelho whilst reclining on the couch is more like my idea of entertainment in that context.

Besides my friends and I - we're 21-23 - surely we shouldn't be doing this lest the ladies catch us with a Naruto comic or clip on our Cell Phones :D
Oh God you're not like one of those friends of mine who'd go on and on about Naruto, Pokemon, Digemon, Beyblade and God knows what other Japanese anime and the only way to shut them up was to punch them ! :P
Thats a really cute anime you've got there. My baby sister pesters me into downloading subtitles for some of the Japanese ones that she likes to watch and I could have sworn that I saw a child just like this in one of those.
Good for you...I'm planning on sleeping for a few hours too before waking up to study some Investment Appraisal or I'm done for in tomorrows exam :)
Just checked the time in Cyprus..you haven't slept throughout the night have you ? PDF is addictive ain't it ? :)
At $6 per 15 litres is $0.4 per litre which means its going to cost about PKR 36 per litre - that doesn't too bad, its even a few PKR less than what we pay, here in Pakistan, for a 1.5 litre bottle of Mineral Water and only about PKR 6-8 more than what a litre bottle would cost and that difference is less than half of what a small packet of LaysChips is going to cost. I wonder why we don't explore constructing desalination plants here in Pakistan especially in the coastal areas likes Karachi - where the water shortage becomes even serious at times - so much so that I remember a time when the rationing of water resources per family occurred and that in turn causes rifts between Punjab (my province) and Sindh (the one where Karachi is situated) because all the rivers flow from Punjab and into Sindh and we - the both of us - even fight on making dams on the rivers despite facing a chronic power shortage.

Darn, where did my musings lead me to...I'm probably boring you with all this.
Ma'am did I get too personal in asking you about Cyrpus that you didn't reply. I apologize of course if I contravened conversational decorum.
