Why are they so suicidal? Assad will probably attack them soon now that Iraq has shown that the US won't protect Kurds from attacks and the YPG wants to send out men to die attacking rebels who aren't a threat to them right now. Their smartest move would be to build defences and prepare for an incoming attack.
