Ibrahim Kalin is a great guy, very intelligent and writes some great articles too. But doesn't have the effect that Maria creates for Russia. For the role of press secretary, it is crucial to have an attractive face that mesmerizes the journalists and foreign diplomats.

Bizim Ibo looks like the damsiz psycho 'kamyon soforu' at the beach who won't stop staring at your women. He scares people and creates the wrong image for Turkey.

Exactly. I love reading Ibrahim Kalin's articles in English. He has a great mind. But his physical profile doesn't fit the job definition of a spokesperson. We need an attractive female for that job. The job of a spokesperson isn't just to relay the viewpoint of Turkey, but to also ADVERTISE Turkey, SHOW its people to the world, GET THE WORLD TO LIKE US and sympathize with what we're saying on camera. With Kalin's face that's a very hard task if not impossible.

He can remain in charge of the department but we need a bright and attractive woman like Maria Zakharova to get on the camera and speak. Let her report to Kalin and take her talking points from him. Just don't put Kalin in front of the camera.

The average international audience will be a lot more interested in tuning in to listen to Maria Zakharova rather than Ibrahim Kalin and that's a fact. I don't have the time to run down a whole Psychology semester with you to explain to you things like natural attraction, perception, visual accommodation, human attention span, etc so you're just gonna have to use your common sense with this one.
