What would a US citizen gain from learning Urdu when even Pakistani's prefer their studies in English? What value learning Urdu add to their careers except if their careers were in spying and espionage?

If I see a LUMS students go to Afghanistan to learn Afghani, I would think either that student is crazy or on a "mission".
