recently the registration for PMA LC 140 has started and i applied with 60% marks in matric and 50% marks in Fsc but i am not eligible to even apply for "evaluation".this doesn't makes any sense to me.why? because the marks that i got in Fsc represent how good i have memorized the books in the Fsc syllabus.they in anyway don't show the rest of my abilities and skills.

lets say there is a person who has some exceptional skills and is determined to utilize them for the greater good of pak army but he is not allowed to do so just because he couldn't memorize the stuff which wont be useful to him for the rest of his life.
in my opinion everybody should have the chance to serve their country.
since there are lots of people here who know about military so i want to have their opinion on this...

No need to loose hope. Complete your bachelors with 60 percent marks and try again. BOL

thank you for your opinion but don't you think it shouldn't be like this??
I am not against merit. There should be some criteria for eligibility for the procurement of better human resource. For example PIEAS induct best candidates from all over Pakistan and their output is outstanding compared to other institutes. Just because of merit and academic brilliance.

academics is one thing but what about other things that define a good human...there should be an aggregate score of all cognitive and physical attributes and only after that the worst ones should be screened out...this education system is 200 years old and very obsolete...there should be modern and effective ways of evaluating human beings..

Yes their should be. Until improvement of our educational system our stance should be submissive according to the rules set by organisation and respect it.

if there wasn't any improvement for last 2 centuries should we expect that there will be changes made any sooner...and this isn't a religious obligation for which the people must be permitted to be submissive toward it..this is a pessimal system created by people who didn't knew the repercussions it was going to bring...for how long will we judge fishe on their ability to climb trees...

If things are in my hands i will change it on priority. Your perspective is respectable but government rules are stand first and prior to the views of any individual.
I will grant you commission in any force if i become the next Sultan of Islami Emirates of Afghanistan and Hind. Pakka Waada.

hmmmm...but it would be a big mistake giving someone a huge responsibility without even knowing if he is capable or not...

Yes only a Sultan can do such miracles. Not any individual like us.
Moral of the story story is just follow the rules set by organisations and make yourself capable to become a part of it.

what's the age limit after completing Bachelors?
17-24 years...

thank you for your advice but not everyone thinks the way you do my friend.and that doesn't mean everyone should...

rules of government mean shit if they don't bring about justice and equality and one more thing "if a tree doesn't yields in fruit then you don't fix the tree, you fix the atmosphere around it" if you understand the metaphor...

Military does involves , determining logistics of your enemy positions
Understand the messages coming from your support groups about positions

You have to read charts
You have to calculate the trajectory and path of the shell fall out
You have to know basic math
You should also have proper communication skills to communicate effectively with your peers in battle

Of course Intelligence and Educational skills go hand in hand with bravery

Obviously the better equiped you are intellectually the better chance you have of being a solid Engineer , Pilot and other Key roles with military

Certainly for Airforce pilots , you also have to have additional skills and same with all Engineering Jobs that support complex machinery and Weapons system

So makes sense why the Military might want folks to succeed in school prior to coming to take Military exams for joing military. It would however be a good idea if Military had certain "Pre Application" 8-12 Month course designed to bring students up to speed Acedemically

So you mean to say that army should consult you first and then appoint recruits?

Nothing personnel friend, but 50% in FSC is bad. You should have repeated FSC-1 again once you scored low marks rather than continued with the second year. Repetition would had helped you to secure better percentage.
