Saama reporting blast at Lal shehbaz mazar in sehwan

Blast was inside the shrine media reporting many injured. We all know whats coming next ... savage barbarians have struck again

I am really disappointed by the role of our religious scholars (especially Deobandi and salafi ulema) who are keeping mum on these terrorists attacks which are, in fact, grave violations of Sharia. Either our ulema are covertly supporting these terrorist attacks or they are bloody cowards who are scared of condemning these terrorist attacks. In either case they are guilty of not doing their job.

It is really obvious that the enemies of Muslims and Pakistan are using very young men for launching these suicide attacks in Pakistan. The young brain is easier to exploit for targeting Shia gatherings, shrines, and other public places. It's easier to brainwash and make them believe that killing Shias and grave-worshippers (qabar-parast) at shrines is the real jihad. We cannot stop these attacks without chocking the channels used for recruiting these youths by the terror masterminds. And the fact is we cannot do that without religious scholars assuming their lead role in this task. How can these so-called scholars play that role when we haven't heard or seen even a single scholar talking against this fitna.

The number one requirement at the moment is for our scholars to come forward collectively and condemn these terrorist attacks openly on the TV. They need to address their followers, especially students of madaris, that these attacks (that kill scores of innocent people) are no ticket to paradise. Rather suicide attacks are haram in Islam and the suicide attacker (who first burns his own body) goes direct to the hell fire. How can you expect Jannah by killing innocent people? I think our coward ulema are failing us as a nation.

Border close , shoot anyone who try to cross ..
That's it ? ISPR you could do better than that ..

RIP

What's going on in Pakistan, can someone enlighten about who's doing this attacks? And are certain groups in range of this terror attacks?

The suicide bombber could be a local, even the Mullah who brainwashed them local too(there is failure of Pakistani establishment, I agree but these people can be bought and sold, they can easily be bribed by the highest bidder to do their bidding). These events for the past few days are linked to ever changing geo politics in this region. Pakistan is now surrounded by hostile neighbours apart from China. There were hopes that after years Pakistan would be able to host a crickets torunamnet final in Lahore. Someone obviously does not w

RS could have done nothing. Charsadda and quetta carnage occurred right under his watch. That was the time to go into afg.
But it is other thing why army chief changed in 3 yrs?
Ok, cant change rules now, but why the hell ISI DG also changed in 3 yrs. By the time he might have understood all the dirty espionage war and local and int players, he is changed.
No one can change this conventional thinking of army!!

There is a video in the link. Ya Allah....

A suicide attack in a popular shrine in southern Pakistan has killed at least 70 people, police say.

The bomber blew himself up among devotees in the shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in the town of Sehwan, in Sindh province, police said.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has condemned the attack, which has been claimed by so-called Islamic State.

A surge of attacks this week has shattered a period of improving security in Pakistan.

The shrine was crowded as Thursday is considered a sacred day for Muslims to pray there.

The blast, in one of the country's most revered shrines, is the deadliest in a string of bombings in Pakistan this week, claimed by the Pakistani Taliban and other Islamist militants.

At least 250 others were wounded, a senior police official told the BBC. The only hospital in the area was said to be overwhelmed.

The critically injured were being sent by ambulance to Jamshoro and Hyderabad, some two hours away. The military said navy helicopters capable of flying at night would be sent to airlift the critically injured

Prime Minister Sharif has vowed to fight the militants who have carried out attacks.

"The past few days have been hard, and my heart is with the victims," he said in a statement.

"But we can't let these events divide us, or scare us. We must stand united in this struggle for the Pakistani identity, and universal humanity."

Sufism has been practised in Pakistan for centuries. Most of the country's radical Sunni militant groups despise the Sufis, as well as Shia Muslims, as heretics.

Two separate bombings in the country's north-west killed at least seven people on Wednesday.

And on Monday, at least 13 people died in a suicide bombing in the eastern city of Lahore. A faction of the Pakistani Taliban, Jamaat-ur-Ahrar, said it had carried out that attack.

After a couple of years of diminishing violence credited to a military operation that kicked off in June 2014, the militants appear to have returned with a vengeance.

In six back-to-back attacks since Sunday, suicide bombers have killed nearly 100 people in different parts of the country.

There have been some spectacular, though sporadic, attacks in recent months that have exacted a significant toll on human life.

But the latest surge stands out in so far as it has come amid reports of the reunification of some powerful factions of the Pakistani Taliban. Some of these groups have links with the Afghanistan-Pakistan chapter of the so-called Islamic State which itself is composed largely of a former faction of the Pakistani Taliban.

This surge has blown the lid off an air of complacency that was brought on by statements of the military and civilian leaders to the effect that Pakistan had successfully defeated the militants.

The army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, now seems to have lost patience. On Thursday he issued a veiled threat to some neighbouring countries that "each drop of [the] nation's blood shall be avenged, and avenged immediately. No more restraint for anyone."

Pakistani officials have been accusing Afghanistan of not eliminating the sanctuaries of anti-Pakistan militants on its soil.

It has also been blaming India for using Afghan soil to foment trouble in Pakistan. But many here believe that militancy refuses to die down because Pakistan continues to tolerate selective militant structures as cover for its own covert wars that sustain the economy of its security establishment.

Brothers,
I am new here. I am a Pakistani guy studying in Spain. I signed up here to express my dukh at the events. I am furious and angry - and frankly beyond hope. We can't beat them - time to accept that.

We spend ~$8bn a year on defence and for what? Our biggest enemy in INTERNAL. They strike at will and have ruined Pakistan. Our country will never see peace again. These are the bitter fruits of 2 decades of myopic policies. Our apparatus nurtured radicals as proxies and frankly we created a monster that is now devouring us!

The lull was just that, they are striking at will again. Where are our defenders? Our forces are sitting pretty! Our ISI is either incompetent or compromised. We have 2 options: ALL OUT WAR on them and their ideology (KO their mosques, wipe out their clergy, ban Saudi involvement in Pakistan and remove ALL Afghans perhaps even let KP go) OR we give them what they want. If it means peace - it is worth considering!

I am from a deeply Sufi family but I no longer believe in Sufism, at least my faith has been shattered. These saints cant protect their own shrines from scum and yet are to intercede for us? Bhai! This is illogical.

Hurting and fed up!

We need to purge Pakistan of all independent religious elements. We need a Mao or Stalin. We need to have only government run mosques and other institutions for minority faiths. We need to have state sanctioned sermons and we need it immediately.
