Punjab Institute of Cardiology Chief Executive Prof Nadeem Hayat and the female zonal manager of Medtronic, a pharmaceutical company selling unregistered stents, were found enjoying a music party.

Video received shows the Medtronic female zonal manager throwing her hair on the face of PIC chief executive in ecstasy during the party while smoking and sipping liquor together.

After hundreds of poor patients lost their lives on account of expired cardiac stents, the nexus of corruption finally gets exposed.

The example you quote might be true for the case of Medival Europe but currently, the elite is at odd with religious class in Pakistan because religion in our society has a potential to challenge the status quo of ruling cahouts.

Most of the corrupt elite in Pakistan is secular and has always projected secularism as the solution to all the problem in the country. While right from the beginning, the religious or right-wing majority is either incompetent to have any effective influence or is deliberately kept at arms length using every mean of power as possible.

If you will move towards the time before Zia, you will find Pakistan was completely capitalist society with majority of the population living under the line of poverty and have little or no saying at all in the affairs of the state. The same trend has been kept alive till the date.

It all boils down to public unity and focus on - corruption, schools, education, health, housing, roads, electricity the tangible things that matter in life.

Instead our society is consumed by religious/sectarian conflicts and this diverts public attention, further it divides the people. While they run this and that way the elite which includes the mullashs as well get on making money and enjoying parties like this behind closed doors. You Know Mullah Diesel, you know Mullah Sandwich and there is more. They are all knee deep in corruption while publicly preaching Islam.

And Pakistan is NOT a secular country. Turkey is. Compare them two. A country that legislates on such matters as who is Muslim and who is not (Ahmadi law) or requires passports to show religion, or bans alcohol consumption is NOT secular. Unless you have a funny understanding of what secularism is about.

And I am not against religion. I am like the Chinese say against "religion being used to profiteer or used as a political tool".

Recently on different news channels a news broke out, about Punjab hospitals are using cheap low quality generic stents. Top govt officials involve in this corruption , charge billions of rupees to govt and provide generic stents .Kinda of mega financial scandal.
