India reduces citizenship fee for Hindus, minorities from Pakistan

I have often read these lines on this forum.

Is there any authentic antecedent for this ?
Nope. Invented AFTER Pakistan came into being.
Appears so , in fact after 1971 as Bengal finds no mention whereas the idea of a muslim nation sprouted from there.

I'll wait for a responsible Pak poster to confirm/ deny this.

It was termed in 1933 by Choudhry Rahmat Ali one of the earliest visionaries of Pakistan. They never included Bangladesh because they never sought Bangladesh to be apart of this new country which would have historical, religious, ethnic, cultural; ties. Bangladesh other than religion has nothing in common with us.

The idea of a Muslim nation never 'sprouted' from Bangladesh' - they just gave immense support and joined along; even though many influential people were against it. These five regions that would later become Pakistan also had little in common with the rest of the Raj as well.

The subject under discussion was the acronym .

Confused by what you mean here....clarification requested
Many Pakistani scholars claimed that the Deobandis were anti Islam and what not. :D That was not true.

This talk about devouring women and all is very unpalatable and shocking to me to be honest. Wars should be between men. A woman should get to choose whose bed she sleeps in.
You need to come off age. Wars have ceased to be between men. There is no and SHOULD not be chivalry and fair play in war. War is and should be total - this includes mass killing and slavery. I prefer armies that kill, there are armies who prefer to take sex slaves etc. If you want respect, chivalry - it is better to protect peace.

You got away from the British, losing a quarter of your land in the process
Civilization is far more important than land. Land once lost can be regained. Civilization and values need to be protected. Look at Israel for instance. They lost the land but not their civilization.

Original copy of the Pakistan deceleration pamphlet in 1933; note how the letters are highlighted to make an acronym; you really shouldnt argue with a Pakistani in these regards...

Are you out of your damn mind? You talk about civilization then condone mass killing and slavery in wars?

Modern day region of Pakistan as and will never be a part of Bharat. We separated from the British Raj not Bharat.

Yes we were never part of India per se. We separated from British India. But historically speaking, Punjab and Sindh were almost always part of the Hindu civilization....which basically is 'Indian civilization'.

I imagine if all non Muslims migrate to India, isn't that a win win situation for all the momeens in Pakistan?

Secondly British Raj,Mughal Raj are all like mirages which are existed for a short while and vanished naturally afterwards. They are immaterial in Bharat.

I think Pakistan should keep a hostage Hindu population within its territory, as per the original vision of the country's founding fathers.

Brilliant idea, every country in the world should keep hostages like you have suggested for lasting peace and prosperity.
Next Nobel peace price should go to you.:cheesy:

Quote the full thing. This can be printed in 1948, or even in 2016. Like the archives of NYT from WW2 or before.
A 'parchment' is no proof of anything. Plus, Kashmir was not even a province unlike the other regions - it was the princely state of Jammu AND Kashmir.

That is very sad to hear from a fellow countrymen; it highlights our ignorance to our history, heritage and roots.

First off, there is no such thing as 'Hindu civilization'. Hinduism as a religion once stretched from Afghanistan to Indonesia; that does not make them 'once apart of the Indian civilization'. A Punjabi/Sindhi would have more in common with Kashmiris, Pashtuns and Baloch than with Indians.

Citizenship to Sindhu Pakistani Hindu families

In 2016, as per information available on this Ministry’s IVFRT online module, more than 12800 applications for Long Term Visa and more than 1200 applications for grant of citizenship to Pakistan minorities have been received across the country including Chhattisgarh.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has sensitized the States/UT Administrations to expedite the processing of LTV applications from Pak nationals and upload all applications for grant of LTV online only on IVFRT module for speedy processing. As regards grant of Indian Citizenship to Pakistani minority migrants, Ministry of Home Affairs has delegated the powers to grant Indian Citizenship to District Magistrate of 16 districts of 7 States.

The details of persons living on LTV in a particular State or UT Administration is not centrally maintained.

This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju in a written reply to question by Smt. Chhaya Verma in the Rajya Sabha today.
