It is one of my favorite song since the first time I heard..I remember we were travelling from Phoenix to Tucson when my cousin played that song and I got hooked...It is one of those song which I don't understand the words but still feel connected.

I first heard it on the way home from college in my first year. A friend of mine lives here in NY without papers and his mom is in Pakistan, she can't come here and he can't go back. He played it in my car and I was loving it but I noticed my friend was full of tears, man I felt so bad for him, til this day when I hear it it reminds me of him.

Yes it's different, but i wouldn't be surprised if Nusrat Fateh Ali took his inspiration from this one.
