Afghanistan, India, Iran meet to finalize Chabahar Agreement

Afghanistan, India and Iran discussed the Chabahar transit corridor to finalize the transportation agreement, a statement released by Afghan ministry of foreign affairs said.

According to the statement a meeting was held between the representatives of the three neighboring countries to expand regional trade between the three countries.

The representatives have decided to gather in New Delhi in order to finalize the agreement in the near future.

The Afghan government says that Chabahar port because of its strategic position is of particular economic importance to the countries of the region.

At the sixth meeting of Regional Economic Cooperation Conference for Afghanistan (RECCA) in Kabul, it was decided that the Chabahar transit corridor agreement must be finalized as soon as possible.

Iran, Afghanistan and India intend to create an international transportation route that they have dubbed the Chabahar transit corridor, in order to expand the mutual cooperation between the countries and consolidate their ties in various fields.

Now Afghanistan is going to be less dependent on pakistan as far as sea route is concerned.

If I were you, I wouldn't generalize these kinds of arguments to all people. For some, religion is important, for some it is not. One can be a Muslim and Iranian at the same time, none of them should necessarily come first and all can care for their country as much as they care about their religion.

I really don't see how seeing yourself as Iranian before your religion etc is blind nationalism. Our Iranian identity goes back long time before Islam etc. Thus for me it is common logic to be Iranian first and foremost. Having said that, I definitely would agree that too much nationalism is a bad thing just like being religious fanatic is negative thing. I am certainly not just a over the top nationalist. I respect all people regardless of their indentity.

These territorial boundaries are only made to recognize us.From which origin we are etc. Islam has taught us that Muslims are one Ummah. Our religion gives us our true Identity and culture. Just like we are Human Being first than scientist,doctor etc. If you think religion is only a personal belief and has nothing to do with his identity,then such thing is defined as secularism.
Islam teaches us not to be Identified by tribe/geographical region/country/race but as a Muslim amd Non-Muslim.
During the days of ignorance,people used to to celebrate alot of things which was their culture but were disapproved by Islam. When people accepted Islam, they deserted and abandoned their culture,traditions and only celebrated Islamic traditions.
ISLAM has taught us to be loyal to our land and have patriotism. Islam has shoed us how to live our lives. Did Islam teach us to be recognized by land,race,culture,country,color,language? The answer is NO. It taught us that we are Muslims, a single identity.
