China's Haier Coton: the Most Compact Washer Can be Put in Pockets

1,I am too familiar to those fields where you thought China is weak at...Some country's generic drug industry is nothing to be proud of. Don't make assumptions, that's a typical mistake you are making everyday.
2.Too much competition? That's the first time I heard of. China is the first and most innovative in any white goods. These competition will make China more competitive in IT, failures are part of them.
3."Too" many companies in one field means bubble?

Every sector in China currently seems crowded, but, this is not the case. We have over 3 million start-ups every year and each new player is crowding some sectors. China's development potential is still huge and with its untapped domestic market, a number of players at each segment is justified. Many of these companies, once successful at home, open up to overseas markets, after all.

China's auto manufacturing market is also very crowded. Same as with 3D, machinery, farm equipment, home appliances, social media platforms etc.. But, from this investment and knowledge pooling, we will eventually have national and international champions. More critical than the number of players is that these players must innovate and seek long-term gains rather than short-term market stunt.

This does not mean bubble, therefore, because it is real investment, not speculation. The market will eventually settle down and consolidate. For China, a number of giant players at each sector is normal. How many oil companies did the US have during the 1920s when everybody yearned for some profit? From this, they produced their global champions.

Failure is part of entrepreneurship. I want to see more start-ups, more dreamers, and more competition -- along with regulation for fair competition as well as protection. This is good for China.

At this point of its development, China needs crowded sectors. it is too early to consolidate. If consolidates prematurely, China may forever stuck in the middle income bracket.

The cake is not that big.
Most countries have no idea of the ongoing industrial revolution. Luckily, China is doing well so far. And trillions of money are into innovation and technological upgrading. I'm 100% optimistic about China's future.

That's the case in China.
In Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan(sorry to mention this inland city, but has a leading industry in optical technology and biomedical industry) and everywhere in China, new companies come and die, up and down, success and failure. That's the inevitable process by which the most renowned brands are created.

Zoomlion Receives Over 10 Million Dollars in Orders and Leads Chinese Engineering Machinery Industry

Zoomlion holds a departure ceremony for 50 cranes ordered by Indian Reliance Industries Limited

CHANGSHA, China, March 13, 2015 (Antara/PRNewswire) -- On March 13, a ceremony was held at Zoomlion's Quantang Industrial Park for 50 QY75V wheeled cranes ordered by Indian Reliance Industries Limited. The order, worth over 10 million dollars, is the largest overseas order placed with Zoomlion in 2015.

Mr. Pan Zhenyang, executive deputy general manager of Zoomlion Overseas Branch Company, Mr. Su Ming, deputy general manager of Zoomlion Lifting Machinery Company, and Mr. Jena, general manager of Reliance Industries Limited attended the departure ceremony.

Reliance Industries Limited, one of the largest Indian commercial companies, with its businesses covering petrochemical, infrastructure building, telecommunication and energy and many other sectors. Reliance Industries Limited has high demands for the performance of equipment and machinery. According to Mr. Jena, Reliance Industries Limited has made overall comparisons on several world-leading machinery manufacturers. While looking at the price, performance, and services during the bidding. The Zoomlion crane QY75V won due to its leading-edge technologies, customized adaptability and close-fitting services.

"The wheeled crane QY75V which was exported to India are specially engineered to the requirements of Indian market and have many localized adaptive changes," said Su Ming, deputy general manager of Zoomlion Lifting Machinery Company. "International brands have been used for key components such as moment limiters and primary pumps, which meet various complex working conditions in India."

Backed by strong R&D, Zoomlion's technical team has developed an extensive line of best selling products in recent years, taking into consideration the working conditions and the local country's weather conditions. Popular among overseas customers, their export volume has increased steadily year after year.

Statistics show that Zoomlion has been the largest exporter for construction crane products in India market for years.

Su Min said the Zoomlion's rapid growth of overseas business benefited from Zoomlion's giving full play to "Craftsman's Spirit" and increasing global resource allocation.

Mr. Zhan Chunxin, the Chairman of Zoomlion has interpreted the "Craftsman's Spirit," as the extreme care and dedication that is shown while in production. Our crafstmen treat our products as art, showing respect while following the innovative changes needed to maintain our standards.

With the craftsman's spirit of striving for perfection, Zoomlion developed the 101 meter carbon-fiber boom pump truck, which is the longest in the world. The platform fire truck is also the highest in the world, capable of risiting 113 meters, having a self-elevating crane with a horizontal jib. The QY75V wheeled crane, exported to India, is one of masterpieces revealing the craftsman's spirit at Zoomlion.

Zoomlion has established a sales and service platform in nearly 80 countries spanning five continents.

Pan Zhenyang, executive deputy general manager of Zoomlion Overseas Branch Company, said in his speech that "The market outcome for Zoomlion always pushes us to become more international and yet more localized. This strategic principle is part of globalization, which will help us further expand our influence and our equipment in the domestic and international markets."

Zhan Chunxin, chairman of Zoomlion, has stated, "Chinese enterprises who want to fully globalize must carry out the international expansion and localization first. It also means they must inegrate into the local culture and atmosphere, eyeing the market, and followign all the policies and international laws. This will allow them to take advantage of localized talent, resources and operating models. With that it will surely follow with a win-win outcome."

"Zoomlion is well prepared to expand overseas, our revenue from overseas markets will increase to 30-40% in three to five years. We are ready to compete against the industry giants in their home markets in Europe and America," said Mr. Zhang Jianguo, senior president and general manager of Zoomlion Overseas Branch Company.

Mr. Zhang believes that the implementation of the "One Belt And One Road" strategy in China brings new opportunities for many high-end equipment manufacturing companies, such as Zoomlion, to expand their markets overseas in a faster and better way.

I've just watched a NHK documentary on India....I really wanna cry for their people whom most members here ignore. However, they are really interested in us, the priority is to make themselves feel cool by looking down upon others' achievements . Then, let them keep their interest and that's our best national interests.

In China, who is still using google map?
Five years ago, I used google map. But now, Baidu map is much better than google map in China.
Car navigation, offline map, calling a taxi, booking hotels, etc.
I searched in my Baidu map APP for fun, and found this:
A detailed layout of Wuhan Railway Station, you can switch to different floors.

Beidou Global Positioning is both strategically and economically critical for China.

BeiDou Launch May Take Place This Month : GPS World

The first satellite in the BeiDou Phase 3 expansion could be launched by the end of March. Apparently, a BeiDou satellite has been shipped to the Xichang launch site, and tracking ships have left port for the open ocean.

Also, a philatelic first-day cover for the launch (a common Chinese practice) has been issued with a March 2015 inscription. This is likely a launch of a medium Earth orbit (MEO) satellite.

The new BeiDou satellite would be the fifth GNSS satellite planned for launch by the end of the month, joining GPS Block IIF-9 (March 25), Galileo 7 and 8 (March 27) and IRNSS-D (March 29).

Chinese BeiDou/GPS Module Aims to Serve Civilians : GPS World

A new module produced by a Chinese company combines GPS and BeiDou for civilian positioning, especially for automobiles. The module has been in development for years, and offers improved accuracy and reliability, according to its makers.

“GPS is a single-mode application. But we what are offering with our new module now is a system that can combine Beidou and GPS services, so that the accuracy and reliability can be improved,” Lin Hongzheng, China Electronics Tech. Group Corporation, told CCTV.

The module is expected to improve accuracy to better than one meter, which is now achievable by the current BeiDou system, according to the module’s developers. Ground stations would improve the accuracy even further. “Hopefully, it will be able to position vehicles in different lanes of a road,” said Hu Jinmin, Shenzhen Road Rover Technology.

Pricing has always been a struggle for Beidou hardware, CCTV said. The market price of the new module has come down to less than 30 yuan, or US$5, similar to that of a GPS module.

“This year, from modules to end products, the Beidou system is ready for massive production and ready to compete in the market,” Hongzheng told CCTV.

Now, think about how to exclude GPS in China.

Now, think about how to exclude GPS in China.

Militarily, there is no question. It is a matter of national security and Beidou would be the monopoly.

The key is the commercialization.

Apart from providing services at least on par with GPS, as a start, China should require all domestic producers of mobile phones, tablets, and any type of navigation devices to include chip-sets that are compatible with Beidou.

Also, it should require, all mobile devices sold in China should have chip-sets that are compatible with Beidou.

This will give people to freely choose from commercial navigation services.

Then Beidou should develop various software for devices to increase market reach (Android, IOS and other platforms).

Now, think about how to exclude GPS in China.

I don't think people will leave GPS. More satellites for triangulation means better accuracy, and more reliability. So the norm in civilian use will be to use the combination of GPS, Beidou, and GLONASS.

I don't think it's now. Because it is not now, they should strive for better accuracy and gradually get rid of GPS.

Yes, the next is about commercialisation. First Baidu map and other commercial APPs should collaborate with Beidou.

Zhongtong Welcomes its Overseas Deal of 134 Luxury Coaches from Thailand
2015-03-17

Summarize:
After working around the clock for many days and despite the cutthroat competition with dozens of well-known bus makers, Zhongtong finally saw its hard work being paid off and the company successfully won a deal from Thailand for exporting 134 units of luxury coaches.

In preparing for the bid, the high-level officials from the bus maker have been in close watch for every progress made along the way and have been constantly making constructive suggestions for securing the deal. In the initial bidding stage, the overseas sales team from Zhongtong made a fully detailed explanation of the company’s state-of-art production techniques and quality control measures. Such meticulous care to every slightest detail finally won the company extra credits. At the final bidding stage, officials from Zhongtong made a field visit to Thailand to get familiar with the local market.

In the end, the company earned 1164 points in the bidding, way above the other three bus makers, which won 543, 271 and 178 points respectively. On Jan. 30 this year, Zhongtong signed a sales contract with the bus maker in Thailand for exporting 134 units LCK6125H buses to the popular tourist destination just south to China. It is expected that the buses will be delivered to its customer in the earlier half of this year. Fully confident in the reliability of Zhongtong buses, ABC company, the bus operator from Thailand has expressed its hope to strengthen its cooperative ties with Zhongtong and help the company expand its market presence in the country.

The impressive performance of Zhongtong in the overseas market in recent years can be chiefly attributed to the company’s new development strategies. In 2003, the bus maker set up its Export Dept. Two years later, it further strengthened its efforts to internationalization. Under the new development guidelines, the company has been lending even more supports in its overseas markets, making sure its products from R&D, to production and then to market development and to after-sales services can meet the local specific demands. Zhongtong is now fully confident that it will play an increasingly more significant role in the international bus markets in the near future.
