Hehehe, Even i would love to drive down that bridge and have a look at them, earlier they had a narrow bridge and every vehicle will drive slowly and you had ample time to see the ships....... that is one advantage of being in Kochi (especially to those who is military enthusiast) You could see Vikrant from MG road (the most happening road of Kochi) when it is under repairs in shipyard........

Wow sounds like CSL is located close to that bridge, there's a railway bridge adjecent to it aswell, i guess?.I am jelly, you make it sound like it so common to see vikrant over there,i would have my jaws dropped at its glimpse :D

As of last week, I remember the Ministry of Defense confirming positive news regarding this issue:

Japan agrees with India to step up talks on US-2 aircraft export | GlobalPost
There has been reports that India would buy 6 US2's and a Joint Working Group has been formed to seed up the discussion on it. It is said to be built by private companies in India and not by HAL.

The problem in the deal is with the rolce Royce engines. Hope the new government solves that issue.

Yup, This bridge across the canal (back water) also has a railway track next to it, though it got damaged few years back and that track used to travel towards Fort cochin station........

CSL and Naval base is opposite to each other across this canal and from this bridge you can see both CSL and Naval base.....Have seen vikrant couple of times there.....:) (IAC1 also was there in water for few days, couldnt see it.... May be next time....)

This place had all the transport facilities, Ship, Bus ,Air and Train..... all close by.....
