Anti Hindi storm brewing in Tamilnadu

I have met tamilians and knows pretty well how they feel towards people from northern india and the fact the most of the top brass in Delhi , army and bureaucracy are from north despite the fact Tamils are more educated , sophisticated and civil people.
Delhi will have to change its approach towards south otherwise khalistan , Maoists and tamilians are gonna screw this Modi sarkar big time.
Congress was learnt enough to manage such issues but bjp is gonna sink Indian boat if it pursues the current policy of one man show.
People want equal rights irrespective of religion, creed and cast and area no body will buy this one core united Hindu bullshit if it means power in few hands only.
Tamil Nadu has great potential if independent Modi and his blind followers should keep that in mind.

we are scared :( :(

This look mysterious too how Indo-Aryan(including Sanskrit) and Dravidians have same grammar structure(subject object verb) but different vocabulary while in English, verbs are used in mid of subject and object in a sentence making English very tough to learn for Indians. English is categorized as a fellow Indo-European language of Hindi.

This myth too will be broken once we have enough Indian philologists. There is absolutely no reason for Indian languages to have different roots when India is one easily traversed contiguous zone while languages in far away Europe claim to have origins in Sanskrit. Also much is made of vocabulary differences, when there are more Sanskrit words in all Indian languages than in European The other day Chinese Dragon was explaining some Chinese words and they looked so similar to Tamil words. So the differences in vocabulary could be because of Tamils trading with the East Asians and their influence on Tamil.

Could also explain the fondness of Japanese for Tamil movies ;)

Time has passed to bring any new language change in India.
Make a new language based on Indo aryan,Dravidan and Sino Tibetan words...TIT-TAT for all language groups...

Hindi is a direct descedent of Sanskrit through Shauraseni apabhramsha/Prakrit since Prakrit came out of Sanskrit but Prakrit continued to be influenced by Sanskrit throughout history of India continuing the tradition to modern North Indian languages. Sanskrit was the 'refined speech' while Prakrit which means 'natural speech' was the slang form of Sanskrit.
Hindi means standard dialect??
What about haryanvi,rajastani,bhojpuri??...Any notable variations from standard hindi or just a regional slang variation???

move this to stupid and funny section... there is no anti Hindi storm here in TN, its only due to our idiotic politicians, even low-middle class is dont lik wat they tell. No one or anything cant destroy our culture and language still. so these hindi cant over come us. only Sanskrit and Tamil have better grammatical and poetry skills in the entire Globe as of now...

and more over some one her told that he got bad time in Ooty, the truth is he/she show little arrogant against any Tamilans, then they are in trouble. if you be polite and humble you can win a lot here.. i too have very bad experience in Guj & Mah when im there, so dont complain just adopt to it...

Khariboli is the standard for Hindi, Rajasthani is group of dialects and rest are dialects of Hindi.

@Ravi Nair should hindi be official?

Hindi along with English is the official language.

If you are talking about National language, Then making Hindi the national language is not likely. More and more Indians will speak and understand Hindi, but I don't think at least in the next two or three decades I can see it becoming the national language.

not much fuss about language in pakistan.. punjabi is the biggest language but we don't let it get into our heads… we still use urdu as the national language something which almost all pakistanis speak.
