Women in Turkish Armed Forces

Firstly, hello everyone!

Being the only female member from Turkey, I thought the idea of this thread where we can post about our women in armed forces and their roles and situation. As far as I learnt from my father whom is a retired army officer, our women have combatant roles as well. I was also informed about some sites where we can get media. I hope everyone will contribute. thank you

Great pictures. According to the "Book of Dede Korkut" which demonstrates the culture of Oghuz Turks Oghuz Turkish Woman were known to be expert horse riders, archers and athletes.
