Again. U dint replied to my simple Question. WHY?

For rest I agree with ur post completely which means no body questions u as being a Pakistani. I am just curious to know Why are u a proud Pakistani. Every emotion and acceptance has a Reason.

Yeah , I didn't . Despite having a great many reasons for , I do not really feel the need to prove to anyone or anybody why exactly am I proud of my country and just because my country is going through difficult times , that doesn't make me less proud . Your question itself is wrong in the essentials . The same would have my reply if a person from my country was asking me the same .

Have you heard the bullshit LOLywood songs some songs even sounds like beggars singing in trains, they sounds more annoying to the ears. Do you really think Pakistani singer would sing for such garbage film industry.
theek ha bhie nach ganay mei app achay hoo ... kanjar honay pe yahan zadah proud feel nhie kartay hum ...

Pakistanis Muslims are NOT welcome in India. Curse your forefathers all your life for not crossing over.

And what made u think we dream of any Akhand Bharat? Me as an educated India aspire for Akhand Bharat which means a United Subcontinent. Which again means a strong SAARC group with visa free commutation and free communication. Nothing more nothing less.

Said that, We hopped in this thread not to show our awesomeness to Pakistanis (WE know we are, U know we are and we know that u know we are.).

ITs just such taboo issues shud be discussed so that we the youth of our respective nationalities can opt for a inclusive future of this region.

this is the big problem, india has not accepted pakistan as a country that's why it always wish for greater india.
Let me tell u that (PROUD HATH FALL )

There's always a few exceptions. But to make it seem like 'Pakistanis' are now ashamed (why should we?) to be called Pakistani is ignorance at best.
that is one question u need to ask urself.....and I guess all pakistanis know this answer pretty well....
why u are ashamed of urself.....??
I know no one here will say a word and u all will argue till the end....and I really appreciate that....u should fight....
but I think deep down in ur heart u know .. many thing posted here in the article is true.....and many U living abroad must have felt it sometime...why ur country is such a mess...and why every time someone ask my country name ...why u people deliberately try to avoid answering that question.... thats for u to think and say....why are u ashamed....

For Germany the decision wasn't made by the citizenry but by the Allies in the two world wars. Yet if German citizens themselves had supported division in the 1920s as preferable to wealth-destroying inflation and militancy, then maybe the Nazi's would never have achieved power.

Yes last time they decided to humiliate Germany they got WW2.

The American Revolution was a conservative one; the British King was the radical, destroying both British and American freedoms. By contrast, Pakistan took a system that was functioning (if poorly) and made it much worse; however, the legal structure very much still follows British lines. Even the language. The Brits today could offer Pakistan more than it could the U.S. in the 18th & 19th centuries. Going back would be pretty easy.

Again what you want us is of no importance. You give your opinion a little too much weightage when it has little if not none.

And you are?

No but neither is the author as you portrayed in your previous argument.

But thank you for all the latent redicule, it but helps galvanise us.

Till the point Pakistan does not formulate decent economic policies and framework, people will feel marginalized.
Many of the problems that the author mentioned in her article have plagued (/still plaguing) India too.
The recent economic strides have helped us shrink the percentage of marginalized people in our country.

All a population needs is a decent standard of living at the end of the day. Kashmir will never put food on your table...FDI/FII will.
One thing that separates India and Pakistan for which I am eternally thankful is the lack of introspection in Pakistan.
Take the case of Geo news and Hamid Mir...he said things that were against a respected state institution but did anyone ever raise a finger against ISI in Mir's support? In India...corrupt as we may be, there would have been inquisition commissions set up by now.
This tendency to outright dismiss certain conjectures for the sake of feel-good patriotism is a terrible decay of democracy.

Every country has a role model. We have the western world with excellent democratic values and with a strong imbibed sense of multiculturalism where things like affirmative action are the goals of the elected reps.
China had the soviets, America had France, Western Europe had the Roman Empire...

Which model does Pakistan follow?

I advise my Pakistani bro's and sisters not to pay attention to such people. These are the people who would sell their soul to get some good earning elsewhere instead of facing the bitter truth and make the best of it for the future generations. Why should you be ashamed of being Pakistani when there are people who just like you for being the people of a brother country :pakistan:

U are making a fool out of urself with ur comments. NExt tym think before u speak. Just a humble suggestion.

I would say much to the chagrin of Indian members that I am not particularly proud of being an Indian citizen either. Don't get me wrong - I am proud of India as a civilization, it is the nation of India which has let me down. If in 60 odd years our nation hasn't been able to provide universal education, healthcare along with 24x7 water and electric supply to all its citizens then patting ourselves on our backs as some formative force is fanciful. The middle class of course has glitzy malls, brands, cars etc. But a nation's development is appropriate when the rich don't travel in Jaguars and Porches - it is when they are comfortable enough to travel in the local transport.

Yes, if you look at that way it is standard of living + progressive/liberal/intellectually stimulating society that a country gives to its people is real matter of provide. Until at least we can provide a mid tier standard of living(10000$ + per capita+ low poverty rate) to our people, there is nothing to feel really proud for any country in this regard, though being proud good if it encourages us to do work hard to get the target.
