@Mastan Khan - U think u can predict results of future battles ??

Hi,

My goodman---isn't that the basis for the purchase of current weapon systems---so that you can project on the future----.

That is what the rest of the world does---that is what the defence industry does---that is what the defence analysts do---they look into what you have---how you train and they can build your response on that.

How long have you been on this board----and only 1 post---. You know----after such a long silence----it is beter to have kept the status quo.

Those who don't participate---have no right to indulge in one liner.

And so shall it be. I can agree with that. If any nations think that the JF-17 is the way to go and purchase it, then let it be treated as a pleasant surprise.

Yes, but JF-17 program should continue despite any foreign sales.

You joined on 2008 and you're making your first post today targetting mastan khan...wow :what:

Hi,

I really appreciate his courage---really do---. Can you imagine----how long it took to hit that nerve of his to write his first post.

I must have really really pi-ssed him off like never before.

Shehzad- Nawab---hey sir---I do want to apologize to you to make you do something that you never intended to do---. I feel like a sinner---someone who has done an unclean act.

Hi,

Members need to realize that it is too soon for the JF 17 to being sold to other nations. The way that pakistan is pushing it for sale is basically making it sale proof---. There is desperation in its being available for sale.

You don't sell items that way---. You have to present it---you have to show what it can do---then you take it away from the consumer---make them feel for it---tell them it is not available---. Make them excited for the product. Let them come to you and ask for it. Make them feel obligated---make them need it----let them have the desire for it.

Let the flights, displays, weapons and systems installed do the talking and you just keep your mouth shut----make them feel it---let them have the desire to own it. Don't let everyone close to the aircraft---don't make it a display open to everyone---.

Whomsoever wants to see it---ask them why do they want to see it---do some qualification of what the needs and demands are.

Remember---it is car sales 101.

Azerbaijan still wants to buy JF-17 Thunder

Azerbaijani authorities have made it clear that they are willing to purchase from Pakistan game combat aircraft JF-17 Thunder, said Pakistani Ambassador to Baku Khaled Osman Geysar.

"I think this year as mutual visits of delegations of military departments. There are a number of issues that the parties should discuss. For example, the experts should discuss funding for the project ", - quotes the ambassador" Interfax ".

Geysar said about the possibility of the creation of Azerbaijani-Pakistani military enterprise. According to him, a great role in the procurement of aircraft plays a technical aspect. "If I buy a car, you should know whether there is a nearby mechanic. In general, I can say that our cooperation and objectives are clear. I am sure that this issue will be resolved successfully, "- he explained.

The intention to purchase aircraft Baku became known in Pakistan in November 2011. According to the publication, APA Azerbaijani delegation held bilateral meetings with the company Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), which organized demonstrations JF-17 Thunder at the air show in Dubai.

Power PAC busy military government order, but the export of aircraft in Azerbaijan can be realized within a few years, then celebrated representatives of Pakistan. A bilateral meeting was agreed preliminary shipments, stressed APA, without giving specific figures.

Designation JF-17 Thunder (Joint Fighter-17) in the Pakistan Air Force fighter-bomber assigned FC-1 Xiaolong, developed by the Chinese aircraft manufacturer Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group (CAC) with financial support from Islamabad. Aircraft manufactured by the joint venture CAC and PAC Kamra in the Pakistani city.

In fact the JF-17 Thunder is a "clone" of the Russian MiG-29. Although the aircraft is seriously inferior to the characteristics of the Russian original, it is three times cheaper: the cost - about $ 10 million versus $ 35 million for the MiG-29. Chinese fighter jet was created during deep modification multipurpose aircraft J-7, which in turn is a copy of the MiG-21.

In July 2010, the newspaper "Kommersant" wrote that the CEO of the corporation "MiG" Mikhail Pogosyan opposed the signing of a major contract to supply China with jet engines RD-93, which are equipped with Chinese "clones".According to Pogosyan, FC-1 - a direct competitor of Russian MiG-29 in the international market.

According to the chief editor of the magazine "National Defense" Igor Korotchenko, "we are dealing with a possible expansion of Chinese weapons on the territory of the CIS."

"Azerbaijan is one of the largest buyers of our weapons.Military parade in Baku every time demonstrates the range and volume of Russian military supplies. Whether it will buy Chinese-Pakistani fighter - remains a political decision of President Ilham Aliyev. Obviously different: China is becoming a real competitor to Russian markets of many countries, including our traditional customers, "- he said, suggesting that one of the reasons for the interest of Azerbaijan to the Pakistani-Chinese product may be a desire to save.

«JF-17 is worth the money in the niche of cheap aircraft weapons. Obviously, for Baku fundamentally increase its air component to the maximum. Previously purchased Azerbaijanis supported fighters in Ukraine, now apparently chose the entire volume and try to increase the power of its air force by diversifying its sources of arms "- said Korochenko.

As suggested by the deputy director of the Institute of Political and Military Analysis, a military expert Alexander Hramchihin, the unresolved issue of Nagorno-Karabakh will sooner or later become a pretext for a new war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the expert, armed Azerbaijani Air Force made 19 Su-25 and 15 MiG-29 fighters. In addition, there are 5 bombers Su-24, Su-17 and MiG-21 fighters and 32 MiG-25 (though they are obsolete). There are also 40 training aircraft L-29 and L-39, which can be used as a light attack aircraft. "Azerbaijan already has an overwhelming superiority in the air, which is still covered by a strong ground defense of Armenia and Karabakh," - he wrote.

In turn, Voskanapat.info recalled that Azerbaijan's wish to purchase JF-17 Thunder for several years faced with the problem of China's military orders and capacity constraints Pakistani enterprises CAC and PAC.

Yes, but JF-17 program should continue despite any foreign sales.

Of course. The JF-17 program is important for PAF, and no doubt it will continue in that capacity. But then again .......

It will take more than a good price to sell.

What it will take is political clout, which at present, Pakistan does not have. It will be a significant achievement if we could sell a few birds to Sri Lanka. Selling them to Central Asian states is very difficult if not impossible, purely because of Russian influence. African countries just don't have sufficient funds, and Gulf countries have better options available to them. There is nothing wrong in keep looking for customers, but than securing one should not be taken as the mark of success or failure of the program.

Mr Ambassador needs to get himself seriously educated on this subject, or let a military attaché speak on his behalf. Mr Ambassador, in his naiveté, has left most ill-informed and biased indian posters behind.

That being said, many defence analysts who have supposedly been in the business for a long time have ended up with their foot in their mouth.. and were left trying to twist their old arguments to fit into the new to somehow save face.

Also, YOU have NO business on his posting style. NOR, are you entitled to act as Gestapo of opinion.

On the topic, quite a small yet interesting detail mentioned about a retractable probe. Although most earlier news mentions a fixed type. Perhaps it is retractable in length and not as such a folding type.

Yes, good point. Those helping hands are funded by those hands themselves. No fighter jet project is being run as a charity.

F35 is also funded by many

That invitation will work only if the other party with the money finds the JF-17 suitable for its needs better than the alternatives.

Thank you for your useless comments and get well soon
