What is going on in BD??

Simply put, India wants to keep Hasina in power no matter what. So a sham election is taking place which the opposition along with most other parties boycotted. The intl community also boycotted and called for halting of the farce election. There has been strikes and blockades and now the opp. leader Begum Zia (who is now under house arrest) called for a march to dhaka. To prevent people from coming BAL already sealed off the city and is arresting 1000s of opp. activist and protesters. Already some 300 people died in the last 1 month in Anti-Hasina demonstrations. SO that's about it.

Army on alert

30 passengers were arrested for boarding a bus from Chapainawabganj.... They were innocent travelers going to Rajshahi

No transport.... So people are using whatever they get to enter into the capital
