Police siege suicide bomber in Kohat

KOHAT: A suicide bomber held a youth hostage on the first floor of a building in Kohat area of Bibi Pakdaman area, Geo News quoted police sources say Friday.

According to police sources, nearby houses have been evacuated and the personnel of Elite Commando Force have been called on the spot.

A security cordon has been put around the house for sting operation.

Earlier, police spotted a suspected youth and gave him a chase; on which, he entered a narrow lane here and captured a youth, Safdar, as hostage.

KOHAT: The suicide bomber holed up at a building in a Kohat area, blew himself up, when police started a sting operation to catch him, police sources told Friday.

The building was harmed in the blast.

The bomber attacked police with hand grenade, when police started the operation to capture him.

The police tear-gassed the building to force him come out of the building.

It should be mentioned that a suspected youth was spotted and then he was given a chase; on which, he entered a narrow lane here and captured a youth, Safdar, as hostage.

However, Safdar—owner of the house-- came out of the house safely. Afterwards, police decided to launch operation to capture the bomber.
