Bro I live in Pune.

What some twit writes on the Net, affects me directly.

Just as the recent crap related to our NE brothers and sisters in my city.

So yes, you have a right to be disappointed.

As I to be pragmatic.

Doc - The highlighted is a very fair statement.

That's the thing that people ignore. Those people were so sad over his death that they didn't think about anything. I know what they shown was great restraint, but as a security personal, I have to hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I was not talking about the sec personnel who also did an exemplary job yesterday. Was speaking about the anchors in the english news channels who just could not come to terms with the millions who turned out for the funeral and that they remained completely peaceful.

Doc/Krait - Sorry guys. I have to say I am disappointed with your take on this subject. But I do not want to derail the topic. Carry on folks.
P.S: Maybe Katju should be arrested for his interview in Hindu today as well. ;)
Its OK buddy. But I have seen enough that what few words can do. I have seen someone making casual statements and things go so much out of hand that it resulted in death of someone.

Police may be wrong here. But if they didn't do it against one, more would have spoken in much harsh way. Sometimes the best thing to do is to do the wrong thing. If riots broke out because of one sentence, no matter how idiotic it may sound that people fought over few words, but what can you say to a mother who lost her son in that violence, the son who was just passing by the crowd. In real world, its not fairy tales and unicorns. Its sweat, stink and blood.

I am convinced Headlines Today is a paid/funded Congress mouthpiece.

Rahul Shivshankar an un-iniformed North Indian jumping on to the Balasaheb bashing bandwagon.

And CNN IBN - well I find both Sardesai and his hugely irritating wife extremely non-interesting.

I see shades of a proud Hindu waiting to come forth in Arnob. There is hope yet.

may god rest his soul in peace..

Bal Thackeray was no Hindu Leader....
he just did some good things for poor people of maharastra only...else he has given bad name to INDIA.

Moral.....jo gaya usey jane do....itna bhi khas nhi tha vo kuch...

You must have been very close to acknowledge the highlighted part, but then being a Man a$$ you must be well accustomed to such.

Took it to heart , didn't u ??

Why use personal abuse i never called u the "wind catcher " of Zaid Hamid's a$$ .

Krait - Lets agree to disagree at this point as I do not want to derail the thread further.

He was no Hindu leader agreed. But he was the only leader who did something to the Kashmiri Pandits when the whole nation turned its back to them, he the only one who raised and supported the Lankan Tamil Hindus who were fighting for their freedom and he was the one who stood between the deaths of thousands of Hindus in Mumbai in 93. BTW heard an extremely interesting trivia on news yesterday that Balasahed is an extremely popular figure in Nepal. Dont know how much of that is true.

His most loyal man Friday, Thapa, is Nepali.

He got pandits from Nepal to Mumbai to do a havan for Balasaheb.

Babri Masjid....kid go along, play with your teenage friends. If Bala Saheb wanted to kill Muslims or Shiv Sena wanted to do so, they could have done for any reason. Mumbai train bomb blasts at Ghatkopar was work of a Muslim family that visited Pakistan. They were shown videos on Godhara and it was first time discovered that terrorist may not be few single men living together. They can be living as a family too.

That reason was enough for Shiv Sena to kill all Muslims in Mumbai. But they didn't. So learn some more about things in reality then randomly posting stuff that doesn't belong here.

All I see a wannabe debater is Babri Masjid, poor Muslims, Hindu terrorists, mix it, shake it well, and voila, you have new theory.

You can fool some new members of your age, not us or even senior Pakistani members.

sad how Star news & Zee news have brainwashed you. Please read this so you can enlighten yourself

ghatkopar!!! are you series?? you are going to blame that on us too?? this is nice i guess one day when an indian wakes up and feels like he has a fever i guess they blame the pakistanis for it!

The reason why shiv sena couldn't kill all muslims in 2002 was because by then the media had taken over and genocides wouldn't go unpunished! hence he was contained and so were his supporters! besides the earlier gujrat riots had tied the hands of Shiv Sena! they couldn't do what Modi had done in Gujrat the whole of india would have been thrown into civil war!

SO please stop fooling yourself

Well taking up regional /religions fights is the shortest way to get publicity/Support.....In INDIA..
Bal Thackery was the one who says marathi's are elite race.....

took every oppurtunity to profit himself...not for welfare.....

i have the same Reply for u ... Stop fooling around ... making a Mockery of urself by debating on a Topic u dont have any knowledge about

Gujarat Riots Happened in 2002 & Mumbai Riots happened in 1992 ... so r u saying Mr. Balasheb had for seen the Future Gujarat riots & didnt kill any Muslims worrying about suffering the same fate ...

Bhai saab, yesterday at the bottom of my heart I was expecting the Sainiks to go on a rampage given their past behaviour and the magnitude of the loss. But they surprised everyone with their impeccable and the solemn way they carried themselves throughout the funeral. A crowd of more than 2 million is not controllable by anyone if it wants to. But yesterday the Shiv sainiks gave a hard, tight slap to those who were crowing on the media that "anytime riots could break out".

All the violence was seen happening in the ND TV studio and to an extent CNNIBN . The way they were bringing in five commentors and four of them anti-Bal Thackeray to dish out the man on the day millions were mourning his death was barbaric and reprehensible.
