What's new

Japanese Warship Kaga is becoming an aircraft carrier

Because there were NEVER J-35, nor Type 076.....

And J-31 was even heavier at 28 tons......
The 28 tons of the j-31 is the maximum take-off weight, the same standard f-18e is 30 tons, and the j-15 is 32 tons.

So you are saying F-18E and J-31 are SIMILAR then?

Hence back to my origninal point

dude, you are using aircraft with similar weight (22tons on F-18E vs 27 tons of J-15), so yes, you need the size of the Ford to launch and recover said aircraft. It does not take a genius to figure that out. Otherwise do tell me what are they launching, J-10 off the deck?

It seems that the difference between 28 tons and 27 tons is smaller than 28 tons and 30 tons

sure, that 1 tons difference MEANS THE WHOLE WORLD.....that you don't need to be as long as a Ford to launch and receiver an aircraft 2 tons lighter.

Of course, there is no need for the Ford class. Why does the 27-ton aircraft only need a 40,000-ton aircraft carrier, but the 28-ton aircraft needs the Ford class? Bizarre idea.

It's not about tonnage of the ship, it's about the length of the deck dude......both were only 80 ft shorter than USS Ford

And your's 40,000 tons carriers are using ski jump, not EMALS....

Due, ski jumps require a longer deck than EMALS. . . .
In addition, the length of the 40,000-ton aircraft carrier deck is far less than that of Ford, don't you know?

LOL...The Brit Elizabeth Class is 932 ft, whole 200 ft shorter than Ford......Even your own ski jump carrier are shorter than Ford......And let me give you a hint, the reason why they use ski jump is because you have a longer run in when the platform is elevated.......

So, either China sucks at making Ski Jump Carrier or.......NO.......ski jump don't require a longer deck than EMALS, that's Capital N and Capital O NO

Wouldn't say 80 ft shorter is "far less" than Ford.

And that's directly contradict to what you said before that Ski Jump needs longer deck than EMALS.

Dude, you don't even know that the deck length you need for the launch zone is the length of the catapult, and the Ski Jump needs far longer than the length of the catapult?
The reason why the Ford class is longer is to be able to operate more aircraft on the deck at the same time, rather than the need for a single aircraft to take off and land so length.

Why would you install EMALS on Type 076? You either have length to launch or recover aircraft, you can't do both, it's too short....

Plus, what about the Well Deck??
Drone carrier they said, we will see.

the world cannot forgot the atrocities japanese imperial army committed till their defeat in second world war... they are still very nationalistic and dont accept foreignters and will exhibit same behavior as they did during imperial days. my 2 cents.
