Saudi Foreign Minister: We will buy the best weapons and what we see as "the most appropriate for us"

Hey what do you know, Saudiya following the Egyptian weapon's purchase doctrine! :-)

They've done really well with everything they've purchased, IMO. Despite some of the issues they had with the PAC III SAMs, I think those were anomalies and whatever the issue was with the two or so failures, it has operated rather well.

The only thing Saudiya is lagging a bit on is obviously the navy, but that's on its way with the major acquisitions they've made in the past couple of years as well as the ToT projects they signed on to.

Of course the RSAF is an absolute beast, with the F-15s, the Typhoons and the Tornadoes. I always thought the Tornadoes were actually a fantastic choice for some of the best attack aircraft. A bit maintenance intensive with the variable geometry wings and pylons, but a beast nonetheless.

The entire military structure in all branches has come a long way since the late 90's - early 2000's.

yes saudi best weapon, israel, usa, for any threat from muslim world.

The Royal Saudi Navy will become a beast as well soon.. it is taking all this time because KSA is prioritizing the transfer of advanced technology and know how in ship building from Engines to stealth ship body design to navigation and weapons management systems.. and everything in between.. The only important purchase was the 4 US MMSC + another optional 4..and it comes with some ToT too.. There are the 5 Spanish corvettes as well..where real ToT has started with 60% transfer of technology.. in brief KSA will start to build its naval ships in cooperation with others and on its own..

Slaves to the Americans, dogs with shiny collars nothing more

Their people are occupied by the Israeli and they rather then fight like the Arabs of old cower like cowards and give the American and Israeli Billions in weapons purchases

Who can respect such lanati and beghairati

Good. Saudi should buy from whoever offers them the best. Saudis and all Muslim countries in general should be strong with a strong domestic defence industry.

Pakistan is run by pdm American slaves atm. Bigger slaves to America then anyone else. At least Saudis care about their country as well. Pdm doesn’t even care about Pakistan.

Our brothers in Kashmir are occupied. Rather then freeing our brothers were talking peace with india and we have been trading with india since our independence. We’ve gave india billions in trade that brought 0 benefit to us. We purchased weapons from usa who sanctioned us and treats us like mercenary slaves.

We go begging for aid and loans from the country you said “who can respect”.

Who can respect us when we’re worse in being slaves then Saudi, ignore Kashmir, have been doing trade with occupiers of Kashmir since our independence and then say shit like “who can respect” to the country which bails us out whenever we get into a financial crisis.

Btw I’m just saying all this because it’s hypocrisy at its finest when we make such statements.
Be happy for the achievements of your fellow Muslim countries.

"Pakistani engineering mindset".... almost made spill my coffee with that one
4th best higher education system in the Muslim world or maybe with Malaysia its 5th, @Bengal71 yours isn't even in the competition mate, not even one university in the top 800 rankings
Dong sir go out more or hop onto LinkedIn to see what kinda Pakistani talent is out there, there's not even one kid I see from the 2005-2010s onwards that isn't doing at least bachelor's a good chunk in the Stem field (in diaspora where I live)

All the talents are showing in Pakistan's state of affairs. Surely, Pakistan is like Germany and Japan with numerous engineers and high tech industries. I have no interest in commenting further on it. If you think you are great, then it's good, be proud of it.

we are not you, who give their entire country to India on a platter than, give them the kinda trade deals that give India the ability to leech you while you can't do anything, sell your women as prostitutes, and have to ask India to buy new weapons, your chief of armed forces was literally an inner city Dhaka gangster, promoted by Hasina to kill opponents - we fear becoming you goddamn it lol, this is how pathetic your state of affairs is,
we fight soviets when they threaten us, we do not bend over to India as you do, instead, build nukes and protect our people, when we fully know that the US is interfering in our political system as it did to dozens and dozens of countries throughout the globe we pull up with largest protest movement in the history of our country and have nearly brought change- this is what honor is about and you despite being an Indian client state for all of your existence your cities are still a dump, who can't even manufacture a damn auto rickshaw while we manufacture our tanks, civilian drones, you have the lowest minimum wage probably in the region, we have the highest- but you come and laugh like a moron thinking you are leading the world in quantum physics?

Surely Bangladesh with no university in 800 rankings? if we do rankings you wouldn't even be in the top 10-15 ranked higher education systems in the Muslim world despite being the 3rd most populous country?
