Featured Russia want to sell SU-35 to Pakistan: BBC Urdu

if i am not mistaken weren't u the one who was so sure (owing to real inside news) that Pakistan will be getting Su35s? its like a year or two ago... i remember telling u bk than it aint happening and i still think it wont happen now... but the reasons are altogether different .... plus this is BBC crap news...

i think Su35 is using AL41 upgraded ones from AL31 base design... but we aint getting them anyways. :D
It was tested and checked but Russia was not agreeing to put SU-35 in it. Now our priorities have changed plus China's J-16 are way better then this.

dont take it serious its trick to push indians by russia .
Sir ji ya Mig31 modified deep strike bomber haa ... not for sale ... lolz

Are you even aware of how that process was accomplished and what nightmares were faced with spares supply and sourcing? And that was the 90’s, try bringing in a RLG to Pakistan from Israel today or buying spares from US. Your Pakistani contact will get picked up by the FBI within a matter of days.
The other issue is that the Russians prefer packaging the munitions. There's basically no room for custom integration work -- either the Russians don't want it, or it's high risk/cost (see India's MKI issues).

While the Chinese aren't any different, we can at least tap into our existing inventory of SD-10, C-802s and REKs for the J-10CE, hence reduce some of the added cost. With the Flanker, it'd be an entirely different and drawn-out procurement scheme.

And there's CAATSA too, of course.

IMHO the only realistic approach with the Russians is to try paying them for expertise. That's the only way the Russians are going to get past CAATSA, so they'll need to evolve their business model from selling hardware to helping others develop IP across critical areas.

Iran is flying F14s, challenges are there, european markets should be upgraded..

i dont thin there will be any sanctions on pakistan if it got Su35

Some 20 plus out of 80 plus F-14s have survived. Sanctions can hit one very badly.

In the case of Pakistan, the Americans have found alternative means for arm twisting instead of imposing full frontal sanctions. But the end result is going to be same: suspension of F-16 sale and support. But I too do not think that sanctions or any other form of restrictions would come if Pakistan purchased Su-35. The problem in purchasing Su-35, however, is the really bad impression of the R-73 and R-77 that the PAF has acquired after Op. Swift Retort.

Then J16 is the only option, which will be sanctions free..

I will laugh and make you a grilled lamb and beverage of your choice if and when the SU-35 meant for PAF actually touches the tarmac in one of the Pakistani airbases.
until then I will park this news together with Pakistani J-20, TXF, F-35 and KF-X "wish news".
I recall the claims few years back about multiple squadron of F-16 block 72 and J-10c actually inside Pakistani airbases and the claimants swore on the honour of their pure cotton capes and kufiya that it has happened and who ever doubts it is a is an agent of Taghoot.

no need to worry. no such good thing can happen to Pakistan. at best pray that JF-17 block 3 can manage to take off with all the wish loadout our PDF has demanded on it.
Lol what a face saving comment brother.
I never claimed that those jets will touch our airbases for sure.
I ve just confirmed the willingness of russians to sell us those jets.
Now why those jets don't won't end up in our air bases is another debate. There are several factors behind that the major one is that we don't have funds.
Russia will only sell this jet to us if it has no issue with Pakistan using it against a bigger customer India which is getting its super Sukoi upgrade.
Man why you are ignoring the changing geo political scene in our region over and over again. It's happening since 2014.
The relationship of russia and India is almost over . India is now more steered towards USA which really pissed off the Russians. Ivan will be happy if we use those jets against India.

I believe the Russians will be very reluctant - if anything I see nothing on the aircraft front and more on rotary Aviation and perhaps that Pantsir discussion may start again.

Any offensive Frontline weapon from Russia is going to invite CAATSA sanctions.

You need to be the BLUE EYED ANGEL that even Turkey 🇹🇷 couldn't even managed be?

If 🇷🇺 really wants to help us, then they can surely get us the Oil from Kekra - Block.

KAKA there is a word called CAASTA.
IS k fayoz o barakat parh lain

you are most welcome.
if you don't mind sitting down on the floor. or we can get you a chair if you like. but we enjoy eating while on carpet, I can assure you that I can take care of the costs of the food and drink so just bring yourself or anything particular you like.

as for paying for the jets? Iam guessing BBC Urdu is suggesting free jets. or maybe the Russians have free calenders and brouchers in mind when it comes to offering something (resembling) jets for free.

or better still. I think we will expect (demand) Chinese or Saudis to pay for it because we have blessed the Chinese with our neighborhood and blessed the Saudis by having their official faith as ours. Iranians we dont like because they never paid us and we are not so sure about their faith. (PS this is the usual line here.. what has Iran given us? Saudis give us so much so we must comply,,. I sometimes wonder if I should remind them that Americans have gifted us far more than entire Ummah and Chinese combined many times fold but then again hating on America is trending and why should I put a #targetme on my self.

3rd we dont have the cash for it
4th grapes are sour
5th is CAASTA
