Problem: The thread was about India and US. I checked all previous posts of the thread but could find no reference to China whatsoever until Mr. Peaceful with the following post brought China into picture comparing China with India when it was certainly not needed (keeping in mind the OP's post).

the difference of our two countries are huge:

when the US agreed to sale us the C-130J for oil cleanup purpose, numerous experts in China expressed deep concerns that such move would damage the defense industry in China. the reason is clear: they want your money, they want keep getting your money, so why they should allow your companies to be capable of designing and producing the comparable weapons?

our Y-10 aircraft is probably the best example. we completed in 1980, test flighted hundreds of times. However, Boeing and Airbus just want it to be shut down so the market can all come under their control.

we are LUCKY to have the weapon embargo after the 1989, trust me indian dude, the embargo is THE best thing ever happened to China in the past 2 decades.

Look at what we are capable of building now.

btw, there is another huge difference between we two countries:

1. india just buy dead expensive weapons, they don't care about the civilians who are desperate for better infrastructure.

2. China just bought 102 airbus airliner this week, which worth 14 Billion USD.

we will have a very different future

This was obviously an attempt to flame bait in order to incite an India vs China debate in a thread where it was not needed.

Well better avoid yourself getting banned rather than creating a New thread to report one post only.

Thats not how the forum runs buddy, If you find a member is trolling....There is one ! "button" (report)...Hit that button and leave it on MODs whether they opt to delete it or not....

Yes, trolling is a problem, but why only single out one member? it really speak volume of your "bias mindset".
A better suggestion will be; "ID and IP" checking of all members, i bet half of those dual or triple IDs trolls will be gone. And it should start with the thread starter himself.

I have to! Many times I have reported such posts of this member but no action was taken may be because it missed the mods' attention or may be because mods found nothing objectionable, I don't know. To clear this doubt of mine I want to hear from the mods if this particular instance can be defined as 'trolling' or not.

I just want to know what is 'trolling' and what is not.

The problem is: What is a troll? It is like defining a "terrorist": One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Can you give a definition of a "troll" that may be faithfully applied to 95% of situations here on the PDF? Dear Sir,

How would I know what is a troll and what is not? It is for mods to decide, my job is to report the post which I've been doind for long.

May be there is some problem with my faculties that I'm unable to discern what is a troll attempt and what is not.

Hence the humble request to mods to enlighten me.

Seriously, the theatrics are getting at par with the annoyance level of trolls as well. This is a management decision - the reason report posts are requested since we don't want to needlessly offend anyone.

When you report post, you defer it to our decision. That's it. Don't think for a second that with 10+ years of forum management we don't know that these theatrics are to influence our decision. It won't work. We've seen it all
