That was exactly his point. Singapore is one of the most expensive places in terms of house rent.

I mean this clearly all that whining by some pakistanis is all over nothing. I recently talked to my friend who lives in DHA karachi and earning almost 1.5k monthly. He was whining about going all broke. When i inquired about where did he spend all the money everything started making sense to me but not him. He bought a new car when he already had two at home. Times are difficult for us no doubt but saying they are unbearable is utter nonsense. We are victims of our own materialism bcz
We buy stuff even when we dont need it but then again we cant brag if we dont do it.
We throw away food and waste so much.
We dont even bother conserving electricity/gas/water. Our houses are lit all day/night like a christmas tree.
A lot of product in our country like food is so cheap that it will spin your head.
I for one am glad that our car buying spree has come to an end bcz of high prices. Seriously even people who have nothing in pocket buy cars on finance or even by borrowing money from others.

In reality Pakistanis are the most Nashukari Qoam on this planet.

That was exactly his point. Singapore is one of the most expensive places in terms of house rent.

1) Singapore has one of the highest home ownership rate (90%) in the world. Thus it's a moot point to factor in rent prices in SG to other places when majority of us don't even rent.

2) More than 80% of Singaporeans live in public housing which prices and rents are significantly lower than what's in the private market. Many of these studies which do not understand our unique situation take figures from the private market to represent the whole of Singapore, which again is grossly inaccurate.

It is interesting to note that India has the higher local purchasing power among the affordable countries. If there is any truth to these indexes, then Indian citizens are seemingly better off.
