The curious case of UAE statement

This on the other hand is the official statement:

The UAE has said that it is monitoring with concern the developments in Jammu and Kashmir, and is calling for all parties in the conflict to exercise restraint, Wam reported on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation today, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, stressed "the need to use dialogue for maintaining peace, security and stability in the region."

He also expressed the UAE's confidence in the wisdom of the leaderships of both India and Pakistan and their ability to "overcome this crisis through communication and constructive dialogue, away from escalation and confrontation."

The point of the matter is UAE didnt...an ambassador to india did....india paraded it as official and we being insecure got hurt! THAT is how I see it!

Sarkar, ambassador is an official of UAE and there is no second opinion to that. An Iranian scholar says a lot in favour of Kashmir but there are no official which also, does not carry much weight to support Kashmiris. So UAE Official favours India way too much and I don't know what Iranians did in this regard. Furthermore, as I said before that I don't expect Iranian officially talking in favour of Kashmir at all in view of Indian investment in Iran and close cooperation by both countries.

This is not about insecurity rather how someone provided an opportunity to India to boast and now that is on record. It may not concern in long term or other things being done between both brotherly nations behind the close doors but on diplomatic front, it is an opportunity provided to India to boast especially having the large scale media propaganda.

The thing is Pakistan shouldn't expect anyone coming to help us in these times and especially on Kashmir issue instead, we should prepare ourselves independently and be ready for the worst individually.

@Irfan Baloch

My patience does have a limit :)

Can you please share that statement of UAE?

already answered to you before. Isn't it?

He commented that from his understanding the reorganisation of states is not a unique incident in the history of independent India and that it was mainly aimed at reducing regional disparity and improving efficiency. He viewed this latest decision related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir as an internal matter as stipulated by the Indian Constitution.

The difference between Yemen & Kashmir is big and unmatched. The point is Yemen is a conflict between two Muslim countries and Kashmir issue is different where India violates UNSC clauses and bilateral agreement. UAE went too far to say that it is India's internal affair. Nobody expects anyone to take sides in geopolitics but UAE could at least tried to stay neutral and could have adopted the same lines like US statement or UN or China or Turkey or Malaysia or Bahrain or like "Kashmir issue be resolved as per Simla Agreement, UNSC resolutions etc".
Question should be why is everyone neutral?

He commented that from his understanding
that doesnt sound official at all!

He is an Ambassador. What else do you expect on official lines. As far as he remains on the post, every word matters.

@The Eagle if you want to see official this is the official one:

Two different officials with two different takes on the matter. Remember, Iran did not matter into this situation as much as everyone was keeping an eye on the GCC..... there are reasons for so much emphasis on this at least here on this board.

Question should be why is everyone neutral?

I think it is already explained that Pakistan does not offer much in regard to Business nor on the market neither in view of trade and also, the so-called strategic games made it worst but topped all of other issues.

So which one is "official"?

The one india parades or the one that is neutral?

It depends on how we play our cards....it is actually up to us rather than them....

"I can record it here. Both UAE and Iran are ---- and in it for themselves. Both would flush Pakistan down the toilet if it helped their profit/loss. Can you say this as categorically like I said about your holy cow?"

Providing you enough time to edit your post in regard to use of profanity & abusive language. Our political differences, analysis, understanding of certain matters & geopolitics aside but such kind of approach will consume everyone to the last drop in a worthless exercise as such. (Post made awaiting for moderation and to give you enough time to make the necessary correction).

Both are official as one statement is made by UAE Ambassador and other neutral statement is shared by UAE Foreign Office. Interestingly, its UAE call to make it right like either India is lying and manipulated an official's statement but then again the source is GulfNews. UAE foreign office speaks differently to UAE Ambassador and that is beyond understanding until & unless a correction is made or it was to play on both sides.

You may need to work with the choice of wording in regard to members of this Forum and not to forget that you are also one of us.

Secondly, the source is Gulfnews and quoting UAE Ambassador. I haven't searched for any other source but it is in-fact for the UAE Government to take note if the statement is wrongly quoted or fabricated to any extent as compare to statement issued by UAE foreign office. That is the main concern.
