Thanks Count

I think thanks button must be disappeared after a certain amount of time. I had 4355 thanks in the morning If i am not wrong, now its reduced to 4330. I noticed 4344 couple of hours ago and later on 4335 and now its 4330.

I think after somebody hit a thanks button, if possible it should be disabled to remove the given thanks

Somebody doing it deliberately I am sure...

I also just now noticed that my thank Count had been reduced. And i dont think so it stops at a point. earlier i thought that some members have removed their thanks given to me so i was like OK not an issue.

But now as you have mentioned you also experienced it so it means something is with the forum or some authority had removed it


Authorities please answer otherwise i will consider that you have started adopting Judas practice

Mr. Zaki, most certainly someone is doing it on purpose. Most likely they are very, very jealous of your erudition and just can't stand to see you thanked so much. Your thanks count will remain stable if you just post stupid, uninteresting things. You are welcome for this most valuable advice.

PS I just thanked your post above and it increased it by one to 4331.

Yes of course somebody is deliberately doing it.

Some people who don't feel like it can take their 'thanks' back naa! So that's it, may be some people are taking their 'thanks' back.

P.S. On a lighter note, I hope people don't claim it's a CIA/MOSSAD/RAW conspiracy!

BTW topay walay paa jee in the past it had happened literally as a person used to reduce the post count of the members to keep his own above all.

Anyway lets the admins check it because mine are also reduced so some issue might be with forum feature

BTW i noticed some one got pissed off and removed the thank whaich was conferred to me.

Hmmm that means I am not alone! - there are quite a few members whose thanks are being removed

I think what happens is sometime people click thanks button accidentally. I have done this many times, since I use IPhone and the screen is small and at time instead of clicking something else, I end up clicking thanks. I then remove it realizing my mistake.

So thanks count can go down, but Zaki bhai suprisingly you look so much into the count? I think you had similar thread before too or maybe someone else.

Err c'mon you two oldies should know by now that when threads are deleted, your post count gets hit. When threads are deleted you thanks count gets hit.

Of course, we can remove thanks n all, but who has to time to manage thanks that people get. I've removed thanks only when dealing with ultra trolls who'd thank each other after saying horrendous things. It just looks bad for the forum to highlight our total assholes like that . Otherwise we try to keep freedom of expression alive as far as we can.

If you're sure you haven't done anything that bad, then there's no problem.

Thanks count is also just something not to be taken too seriously.

25 thanks has been removed so far

SURB, Jana and Zaki all facing the same problem? I hardly see SURB posting in anything but Whatever and Aviation forum. Somebody doing it deliberately

I am not taking very serious, but don't want to see my thanks count going back to 0
