The Best intelligence Agencies of the World, 2018

I am not sure the ISI logo is used as this one, officially.

Nevetheless, ISI is ever changing , ever coping and a very destructive force.

If it has decided on a mission it ensures it finishes it, no ifs and buts.

A razor sharp knife either use it to cut an apple or use it to kill a man, ISI does both.

Maybe the CIA, RAW, Mossad, KGB etc have tried to topple some government in Pakistan or tried to create chaos, assassinate some high officials or even attack our Nuclear facilities and ISI had uncovered their plots and eliminated their double agents, sleeper cells, infiltrators, foiled their attacks or penetrated the other Intelligence agencies deeply so maybe because of these they are No.1

These lists are subjective.

NSA is the most powerful agency in the world. Its resources and reach exceed even those of CIA. Much of the world wasn't even aware until Edward Snowden blew the whistle.

Nevertheless; CIA and MOSSAD have some very impressive accomplishments under their belt, based on known information.

exactly .... CIA, KGB or Mosad can even topple the govts around the world yet ISI is right at top :D ... there must be a different criteria involved while preparing this list ... being a pakistani i consider ISI the best because of patriotism.... however logically story would be different

agencies work on their govt's agenda, I dont think PAkistan wants to topple any govt

NSA is not that effective on their home ground. Weekly school-shootings, riots and destruction of property within the US is a staunch reminder of their failure as Security agency.

NSA is SIGINT and Surveillance (military-oriented). Curbing school-shootings and crimes not its domain and objective.

Curbing school-shootings is the collective responsibility of parents and schools. Police and FBI deal with crimes.

This is why ISI is successful because it co-ordinates and trains the civil agencies. It's NSA's job as a national security agency to keep tabs on the domestic states and tackle civil unrest and violent episodes such as mass school-shootings and gang warfare. There are plenty of Lyari's in the US under the inefficient watch of the NSA/CIA

NSA and CIA are not directed towards fighting crimes across US mainland - you misunderstand their mission and purpose.

Law enforcement agencies such as Police and FBI are responsible for tackling crimes across US mainland, and situation is improving over time: http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/01/30/5-facts-about-crime-in-the-u-s/

Police, in particular, come under fire for shooting violent/non-cooperative blacks at times. This racial spin create political issues for police, unfortunately.

Plenty of crimes in Pakistan also.

Stopping school shootings is the FBI's job, not the NSA's. Also the NSA, CIA, etc. have no domestic law enforcement jurisdiction, which means if they find evidence against someone in the US, they have to call the FBI and the Marshal service.

As for the topic of this thread, a good intelligence agency is mostly unknown. The CIA and KGB are well publicized thanks to Hollywood, but very few people have any idea of what they actually do. As for RAW and ISI, RAW has had plenty of failures(such as Kargil and Mumbai) but plenty of successes as well. The most notable include the annexation of Sikkim, Operation Cactus in the Maldives, and of course 1971. And if we are to believe what Pakistan claims about RAW sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and Afghanistan(which could very well be true), RAW seems to be doing a pretty good job at that as well.

ISI Pakistan
Has been making great efforts in the fight against terrorism inside and outside Pakistan. It was established by a British officer in 1948 and was classified in 2011 as the best intelligence service

CIA Officers do not wear badges.

How is that racial spin any different than ISI's operations in Waziristan and Swat? If NSA is so good worldwide (which they aren't, since whole Trump Campaing is marred by Russian Spying) why can't they aid their local LEA's and re-tune their tactics of security and safety? Clearly they're failing at their jobs and headed towards a collapse. More needs to be done on the NATIONAL front.

Obviously, you have no idea how the US government works and how different agencies have different jurisdicions. Its also funny how you compare terrorism in waziristan to the occassional school shooting, whih contrary to what cnn says, happens rarely. As for the trump russia, that is mostly a political agenda of the democratic party.

Nobody knows what ISI is or who they report to
Is it your fetish to post the opposite of popular perception?

If nobody knows ISI, why do they routinely rate it as no. 1 on numerous websites? Not just this time. Previously as well ISI has been ranked numero uno.

Popular perception never intrigued me.

ISI is an unknown entity and thus why its ranked numero Uno by popular perception
