Why should they "fit in", its an Allah given right to every human bieng to live their lives as they want it acc to their beliefs. You might have been taught submission while u were bieng brought up but dont project that sick slave mindset onto others. Every culture in history has tried to spread its influence and its way of life and still do so why should we muslims be forced to adjust and adapt, its those who have a problem with islam that need to adjust and adapt and refrain from poking their noses into others lives, if they dont adjust than we will force them to adjust with the passage of time as we have done to numerous cultures and cvilizations in the past. Anyone has a problem with it, he can go wear a white clu clan hat and murder a black or something to satisfy his sadist and bullying nature but rest assured muslims are not wired to just lay down and take it, on the contrary we very much like to give it n shall keep on doing so. Thus praying wearing a lungi, salwar or thobe is perfectly legal according to sharia since all of them meet the dress code requirements entailed in sharia. While its NOT allowed for a muslim women to wear a bindi like a hindu or cross like a christian since that directly goes against belief in One GOD.

But yes there are reprehensible acts committed by muslims of various cultures (shrine worship, fortune telling, news years festival,valentines day etc etc) but the mere existence of such unislamic differences do NOT negate the fact that such differences are NOT part of islam.

Unlike false religions such as buddism, chiurisitanity , Islam is very clear cut with unambiguous & crystal clear fundamentals in perfectly preserved texts going back to the last & final prophet Muhammad (saw).

Things are changing fast as well. Muslims from turkey to BD and Indoneshia to morrocco are increasingly getting aware of orthodox correct Islam and are shunning their unislamic cultural practices that are in conflict with islam. You can say that there is a Islamic revival going on. Foe example - thanks to sattelite TV, internet and well trained scholars from centers of Islamic learning (medina, Mecca, Al-azhar) , more & more Muslims in BD know that shrine culture of the subcontinent is a reprehensible anti-islamic act. Dr. Zakir Naik's (may Allah preserve him) peace TV had a lot of influence in changing BD people's mindset.

2. Your no. 2 point simply has NO correlation to the content of the video. We Muslims do NOT base our faith on what an arab or an eskimo may think of us. We base our faith on what Allah (swt) revealed to His chosen slave Muhammad (saw) . Power dynamics between a desi worker & his arab boss has absolutely NO bearing on our faith. This thread is about religion and hence religion is what u will get. Stop trying to interpret islam, u knw nothing about it and foolishly blathering about on a subject little known to one is well idiocy of the highest regard. One of the foremost concepts of Islam given by our Prophet(pbuh) is that entire muslim ummah is one body regardless of colour or race. We have our own concepts differenr from the secular world and we will live by them and propogate and spread them to those who listen, stop trying to mix islam with secularism. There is no nationalism in islam ,ever since its conception 1400 yrs ago muslims have existed in the form of united empires under caliphs, its after defeat of the caliphate in ww1 that these new national boundries were drawn forcefully by the british to weaken a mighty milenium old enemy. Any muslim whether he belongs to any nation has a natural pull and sence of belonging towards the other, we are one in the eyes of Allah and our Prophet(pbuh), who the hell r u to tell us other wise??? And cotton and forces of physics are not secular, they are creations of Allah, we merely study them, reign in ur human ego mate.
