I've seen a lot of movies, its kind of hard to tell whats in my top ten but I'll mention a few movies that impressed me the most.

Wow................no one's mentioned The Message featurig Anthony Quinn and Irne Papas. I consider it to be a hallmark.

1) Forrest Gump:
exceptional movie. Must watch. Got a bit of everything: action, romance, comedy and drama, and most of all, a story you'll never forget. it is absolutely amazing. Its the story of a child-man with a heart of gold who has a very positive impact on all who come into contact with him. Tom Hanks got an Oscar for his performance.
2) Lion King
Animated movies are always great, and Lion King is the best animated movie i have watched. a very unique, dynamic story with some good comedy, and a truly heartwarming story. Its the story of a lion cub and his relationship with his father and friends. this is the only English movie that ever made me cry.
3) Dark Knight
Another awesome movie. good story, some comedy and incredible stunts. Heath Ledger's Joker is my all time favourite movie character. Its the story of Batman defending Gotham city against the twisted evil of Joker.
4) Rush hour 1, 2 and 3
I love Jackie Chan movies, and Rush hour trilogy is the best. great action and comedy that makes me split my side laughing. Its about 2 cops, 1 from china and other from USA getting paired up to solve cases, usually with hilarious results.
5) Bad Boys 1 and 2
Lots of Action and comedy, and good stories too. Never a boring minute in the whole movie. Its about 2 partners in the Miami PD who fight bad guys. A very good balance of action and comedy.
6) Terminator 1, 2 and 3
Action, action and more action. but i love action, and terminator has an excellent, unique story with bits of humour. Its the story of a war machine from the future sending robotic assassins to the past to kill the human leader of the future, and how a guardian from the future defends him.
7) Shrek 1, 2 and 3
A beautifully animated story with a very unique, and rather touching storyline, crammed with great humour. its the story of an ogre and his love, a princess.
8) Gladiator
A great action movie. A very touching story, and lots of realistic action. what's really amazing is the way they bought to life an ancient world with such precision. its the story of a roman general betrayed, and his vengeance on those who hurt him.
9) Troy
Very similar to gladiator in that it is a touching story with great action set in a remarkably recreated ancient world. its the story of the Greek invasion of troy, and how the heroes Achilles and hector with war and grief.
10) Love actually
A quirky, funny movie with a good take on life and romantic relationships. The story of several couples in various romantic reltionships, with each of them somehow connected to the others. The only romantic movie i really like.

A good historical urdu movie can be "shatranj kay khelaree". The film would not waste your time.

Casablanca and Ryans daughter are good movies. Ok, I have to admit I havent seen lord of the rings yet, I know, I know, it's embarrassing.What!! No lord of the rings!!!!! SIR you cannot be serious!!!!!!
I think The Star Wars Hexology is pretty much there with the best. Casablancva needs to be in the top tens, So does Ryans daughter!!!
