Yemen's war against terrorism (Houthi, AQAP and ISIS terrorist cultists)

@waz

posting photos of dead people is against forum rules

Are you not doing the exact same thing in your little Houthi terrorist cult propaganda thread on the Middle East and Africa section of PDF that everyone has ignored?

I did not know that. Well, I guess exceptions can be made when it comes to terrorists.

Creating 100's of double users and creating new users while being permanently banned @Superboy etc. is also against the forum rules.

Anyway going to remove the photo although it is quite blurred.

A senior source in the Arab coalition backing the legitimate Yemeni National Army confirmed that a number of Houthi leaders were killed in the air raid launched on Thursday morning on Saada.

The source said that the air raid killed Houthi leader Ali Salah al-Fayee, who is responsible for recruiting and training young children who are sent later on to the battlefields, in addition to the killing of Muhammed Abdullah Sittin, one of the most prominent trainers on weapons.

He added that many others were wounded in the air raid, including sniper trainer, who goes by the nickname Abu al-Ezz al-Marani.

Saada operation is a legitimate military action

Earlier in the day, the official spokesman of the Arab Coalition in Yemen, Colonel Turki al-Malki, announced that the coalition launched an operation in Saada against Houthi elements who fired a ballistic missile on Jizan in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday evening.

The spokesman of the coalition said that “the targeting that took place today in the governorate of Saada, is a legitimate military action to target elements that planned and carried out attacks targeting civilians yesterday evening in Jizan that killed and wounded civilians.”

He added that this operation was “implemented in accordance with international humanitarian law and customary rules.”

He added that the coalition targeted the Houthi militia members who were inside the bus, pointing out that they are the planners and operators of the missiles launch pads, warning that these elements hide among civilians.

Colonel al-Malki said the coalition will take all necessary actions against the criminal, terrorist acts of pro-Iranian Houthi militias, such as the recruitment and placement of children on battle fronts and "using them as tools to cover for their terrorist acts."

He stressed that the Houthi leaders and terrorist elements responsible for firing ballistic missiles and targeting civilians will be targeted as part of the coalition efforts to prevent terrorist elements from harming regional and international security.

Colonel al-Malki further said that one Yemeni resident was killed due to the shrapnel from the exploded missile while 11 others were slightly injured.

Sanaa, Taiz, Hodeidah – Asharq Al-Awsat

At least 60 Iran-backed Houthis were killed in the al-Durayhimi district near Yemen’s Hodeidah city, said Yemeni military sources on Monday.

The national army also announced the arrest of 100 Houthis during the fighting in the area that was backed by Saudi-led Arab coalition air cover.

The advancing troops forced the militias to flee some of their positions in Durayhimi city, said the Amaleqa brigades’ media center. The Houthis were forced into hiding in residential neighborhoods and in civilian homes amid a collapse in their morale.

The brigades had surrounded Durayhimi’s city center and stormed the eastern part of the area, seizing several locations. Dozens of Houthis were killed in the Amaleqa’s advance.

In Saada, the Houthis announced the death of their prominent field commander Ali Saleh Fayeh in coalition strikes on the Dahyan region.

The military sources said that he was responsible for training Houthis at a school in Sanaa. He also moved between Saada and Hodeidah as part of his sectarian duties and training of recruits.

Coalition jets also struck Houthis positions in the Amran region north of Sanaa, destroying rocket launchpads.

Eye witnesses told Asharq Al-Awsat that the fighter jets carried out a series of strikes on the Amshiye region in northern Amran. Loud explosions heard in the region were likely caused by the destruction of ballistic missile platforms.

The Houthis were dealt strong blows when many of their field leaders were killed in air strikes on Saada and the West coast.

In Taiz, the legitimate forces repelled a Houthi attack on the outskirts of the southern Domna Khadir district.

On the western front in Taiz, the forces launched a surprise attack against Houthi positions in Maqbana.

More than 23 members of the Houthi militia were killed and others were detained in battles in As Sawadiyah District in Al Bayda Governorate.

The Yemeni army said on its website that it launched a violent attack on the Houthis’ posts in Khadar, al-Shabka and al-Yasbel and managed to seize control over some posts.

It added that the Houthis left the bodies of dozens of their fighters in the area.

The army also damaged several of the Houthis’ military vehicles and seized different types of weapons and ammunition.

The battles are ongoing and the Houthis’ losses will continue to increase, it also said.

This comes after the army advanced in Al-Malham front, east of Al-Bayda.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni army in the Taiz front and under the Arab alliance’s air cover has managed to strategically advance southeast of the city. It liberated Ozla Hawmera following a quick operation during which it also seized heavy weapons and gear the Houthis possessed.

On the west coast, media outlets affiliated with the Houthis said the latter mobilized fighters to fronts there in an unprecedented manner, in a response to their leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi’s call to prepare to any possible military escalation in the next two days.

As battles intensify on more than one front, Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi said the battle against the militias is almost over and victory is near. He added that peace will not be achieved unless the coup ends and the political path is restored.

The Yemeni Army on Thursday gained more control over the east of Hodeida, in Western Yemen, after confronting Houthi militias inside the Hodeidah University, south the city.

As Yemeni troops continue to advance in the western coastal front and the suburbs of the city, military sources confirmed that Houthis lost more than 60 fighters, including high-ranking officials, as a result of fighting that raged over the control of the strategic "Kilo16 road" in Hodeidah.

On Wednesday, Yemeni troops cut off the "Kilo16 road," the only supply route linking Houthi-controlled areas in northern provinces with the port city of Hodeidah. Meanwhile, sources told Asharq Al-Awsat that the center of the Baqem directorate, the Houthi stronghold in the northwestern Saada province, was now in the range of government forces.

The sources said Yemeni troops, backed by Coalition forces, were capable to capture an underground communications room operated by Houthis in the province of Saada.

The commander of the 84th Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Raddad al-Hashemi said: "The Yemeni National Army elements found a communications room and operations as they advanced in the field in the Bujbara Valley. It was cut underground and connected to a mountain cave, consisting of five rooms, each room was designed for a specific hostile function".

He added that the Houthi militias used this secret room to carry out its hostile operations and to communicate with its terrorist elements in various locations, and was used to hold meetings for its leaders.

Meanwhile, informed western sources expected that UN Special Envoy Martin Griffiths heads to Sana’a next Sunday to meet with Houthi officials, following his visit this week to Muscat where he met with Omani officials and representatives from the Ansar Allah movement.

The Saudi-backed alliance had renewed an offensive to control Hodeidah from the Houthis after an attempt to hold peace talks in Geneva has failed last Saturday.

Separately, a Saudi woman was injured in a rocket attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in a village in the southern border region of Najran.

Capt. Abdul Khaliq Ali Al-Qahtani, spokesman of the Civil Defense Directorate in Najran region, said that the Civil Defense received information on Thursday morning about the fall of a rocket fired by Houthis from across the border in a suburban village in Najran.
