What's new

World's longest desert highway links Beijing to Urumqi

if there could be a rail & road to Ulaanbaatar Mongolia linking to Gwadar then that would be a astonishing achievement.
Yes of course, I wish to visit Mongolia...a very reclusive and exclusive place but I don't know if it 's economically feasible in the near future to build such a road

:-) The way I looked at it.

China build highways, bridges and railway lines while USA is only interested in destroying them. In other nations of course.

Now US ally Saudi also has problems with paying her civil servants as well. Saudi was too busy spending her oil-money destroying roads, bridges in Yemen.

and that's why i wonder why US need to make China enemy number one? These two countries can reap in $$$$$ by cooperation. US can destroy, China can build it again. Win-win

:enjoy:

This 900km section is one section of 2540km G7 Beijing-Urumqi National Expressway.
There is still one section under construction, will open in 2017.
The distance from Beijing to Urumqi will be shorter by 1300km compared to the current expressway route.
