Why India no longer trusts anti-Modi media

Bhakt thread. Change topic to 'why India no longer trusts Modi' and you'll find a more accurate assessment of the situation.

Look, I don't know whether or not it is a"bhakt thread". I am no Modi fan. I am an athiest/non-sanskari/beef-eating person who has nothing in common with Pahlaj Nihalani. But the moment a thread on Modi is opened, somewhere the word "fascist" is inserted. Now that is doing some real disservice to the Nation. This is a democratically elected government, and calling it fascist is no different than the black-hating Southern white trash in America who call Obama "socialist".

Labeling and guilt by association are the worst forms of character assassination. There are a million things to disagree with this government on. I face some of these challenges everyday. But that does not give me, or any other person, to become a tool in the hands of India-baiters.

This is unnecessary. Regardless of whether there is any truth to the story or not, I wouldn't bother with it, more so when a link there also has other stories relating to Barkha Dutt's 2 husbands(i.e. 2 marriages). It is not really relevant even if true nor should you bother about it. Personal lives of many politicians have many stories, there is nothing to suggest Nidhi Razdan's journalism is connected to it.

Better to stick with the topic of the debate & not get too bothered about the personalities, especially of their personal lives.

You posted couple of blog links, one page 3 kind of report which put it under the quotes and says it's a gossip and an article from TOI where Omar refuses the claim. One can see who's foot is deeper into which orifice, but carry one I'm sure your fellow fanboys will lap it up like fresh hotdogs. After all this is the age of photoshop and fake quotes, so why not fake news from blogs.

Exactly:tup:

Modi haters take it so far and are so obviously unfair that even people who actually disagree with some of the things this government is doing feel they cannot side with the opposition. Their hatred is so visceral and extreme that it is becoming ridiculous. Like you I am a beef eating, uninterested in philosophy person but it is difficult to justify this level of Modi hating for a man who is doing many of the things that really needed to be done for the country.

Typical hit job via twitter:She wanted to talk to some govt reps, they got back to her "PR companies are contacting us"

She is a typical run of the mill anti modi western journo.
Hey if it's a hit job then why not govt suing her and doing to wapo what they did to greenpeace. She is very particular and clear about her claim.

Should Rajiv Gandhi have resigned? How about Akilesh Yadav?

Should Manmohan Singh have resigned after 26/11?

Yes state is complicit in every riot .Gogoi should also have resigned and faced trials for what happened in Assam

Abdullah only refutes the claim of remarriage, not of separation from his wife. Such cleverness fails to impress anyone. And where exactly do you wish to find this news - on the front page of NYT? You increasingly sound like our Western Neighbours, with their unending quest for valid "proof" on everything.

So now you will deny that he is divorced as well? Right? Go on?

From the Wikipedia page on Omar Abdullah:

He married Payal Nath,[14] but on September 2011, he confirmed that he and his wife are separated

When I see Swapan da, Chandan da, Kanchan da, Dhume, Rahul Kanwal, Rupa S, Gaurav Swant, some Z news guy who was in jail for blackmailing and read about anti-modi media, I feel I'm in parallel universe! :/

The ppoint was made in reference to Omar Abdullah's most hypocritical comment about media being (in bed) with Modi. Insofar as that context, it has utmost relevance.

I don't care if he is divorced as I don't constantly update myself with his personal life. Him divorcing his wife has no bearing to the claim you made or the topic we are discussing. Stop embarrassing yourself, admit you goofed up and move on.

Even opindia will do my friend.

we all welcome any news agency that calls the bjp government for what it is - fascist
I get p!ssed off when I read bs like this, do you even know what fascism is you AAP/ Congress supporter?
When I voted for Modi, I had hoped that I would get a leader who was pro economic reforms, who would rule over India like a dictator and F@?k the constitution, media, parliament, and all the bs that hinders or slows down growth and leads poor farmers to suicide and the young people stressed and jobless.
The main problem in India is the sh&@ system, laws, and mainly bureaucracy...these things will always give space for our inherently corrupt population to steal at every chance from the tax that i pay.
I still hope we get the pro-India pro-economic dictator that I voted for. S&@t like religion, caste, skin colour and the other bs would vanish. Only country should be the priority, no gods, no books, no babas/preachers/mullahs.
We don't need ba@/;ds like you, sitting in Ac rooms, only "worrying" about farmers and crying for a socialist government.
And do try to understand other peoples views also, only your views aren't right...your suggestions might be even more damaging to out country than our current system.

...and Manmohan Singh should most definitely have resigned after the way that India handled 26/11. However, none of them did, not Singh, not Gagoi, not Rajiv, and nor will any CM do so in future, so we can't have a special rule only for Modi. Hold him up to the same standard as we hold the duffer Rajiv Gandhi whose birth and death we commemorate and after whom we name half our airports and national schemes.

Having been exposed as an ignoramus, you merely declare that I have goofed up, along with gratuitous brotherly advice about "moving on". Nice try. The people who read these posts can do their own research and decide as to who embarrassed himself here.
