What is Kashmir Worth to Pakistan?

It might cost us marginally more (remember sea transportation is the cheapest form of transportation) in terms of cross platform movement of goods at Chabahar i.e from dock to rail. But that is par for the course. Particularly as India is a big country that goods will be exported to Chabahar right from Bengal(East India) to Andra pradesh (South) as well as Gujarat (West).

A marginal increase in costs won't make a big difference.

It does not affect us what Iran and Pakistan work out with CPEC. The port of Chahbahar is being built. Iran is also connecting Chahbahar with the Russian led pan-Central Asian transport corridor called North-South Corridor also along with India(infact India exported part of the steel rails required for laying down the rail road).

So our routes will continue to work regardless of CPEC or no CPEC or Iran joining CPEC or Iran abstaining from CPEC.

All that has no bearing on us.
Okie but chahbar will only carry 200 k toms of load while gawader will 20k so u will still need gawader as Iranians know this well so they still want to be part of cpec

What would Pakistan be willing pay to have India controlled Kashmir and Jammu??? everything has it's price.

IMO India should just sell it to Pakistan before war breaks out. The demographics alone are favoring Muslims over Hindus,Buddhists, and others.

How about $100 billion dollars?? paid over 10 years, can use a portion of this to pay the Hindu families that will have to be resettled, and the rest fighting poverty in the other states of India, and on strengthening the military.
It's a major lifeline for Pakistan, as a majority of fresh water flows from the region. Simply put, if Kashmir goes, Pakistan will likely collapse.

And who exactly is going to fund this proposed acquisition? I know this is supposed to be a hypothetical scenario but surely even remote plausibility is mandated.

How is a country which survives on the drip feed of foreign aid (including celebrating $500 million tranches of IMF bailout) supposed to raise the money? By launching more foreign bonds at atrocious rates? Pakistan's ability to raised foreign bonds is in the $1-3 billion per year at best.

Why is simple logic difficult.

Why will Iran need Gwadar? Any good that can be shipped to Gwadar can also be shipped to Chabahar. Chabahar has the requisite draught for the biggest ship size. That is all that matters to us. Our biggest ships will be able to offload goods at the port there.

So all it matters is simply economics then.
As far as we are concerned, our goods will land at Chabahar and from there go to other countries in Central Asia as well as Afghanistan, so anything else doesn't really matter to us or affect us.

:lol::lol::lol:
May be planning....
Yeah. Planning.
Construction is on in the other lines which will be extended to Chahbahar.

kashimir will sooner or later have to join pakistan.u cant change geography.if pakistan wanted kashmir by force it had many oppertunities.but having more enemity is not worth it.

kashimir will sooner or later have to join pakistan

Much sooner than the last war ..Much later than 69 years ?

What has Pak achieved ? Thus far it has received water all along so whats the issue ?

Before someone moans about Muslims across being ill treated, can Pak say it treats those within itself well ?

The Hazaras, Shias may not agree. Not to mention those who fought for creation of Pakistan , even fought its wars maybe & have been declared non muslims .

No, the answer lies in reconciling to the geography.
