What caused overpopulation in Pakistan?

But sexual arousement and massive births cannot be possible without all those calories. How do you account for Baloch people and Gulf Arabs to have such small populations? They just don't have much fertile land.
Why not compare with our neighbours in South Asia instead of arabs.india and banladesh have much lower growth rate than us with similar land and climate.

i remember back in the early 2000's when they were railing against the polio vaccine how it was the conspiracy to reduce the Muslim population
Well, what can be said when we have news like this:

The CIA's fake vaccination drive has damaged the battle against polio.

It’s like no one here has read history here. Historically, developed countries have significantly lower fertility rates, generally correlated with greater wealth, education, urbanization, and other factors. Conversely, in least developed countries, fertility rates tend to be higher. You can see this trend around the world even today.

Some say that a large population for a developing country is its greatest resource. So perhaps you misunderstand the situation when you complain of overpopulation.

There will be a greater need for Pakistanis in the future

Weird how people think Pakistan would have been developed country will less people

Kinda goes against the fundamental concept of consumption and modern economy

The rate in Pakistan is higher but not to the extent that's reported. The differences aren't very far off. Most population stats in ind and bang are also understated.

You shot yourself right there. Their birthrate is not much lower and their density is much higher. Balochistan alone is larger than all of Bangladesh and has only about ten million people.

Hint: Desert.

Haha and how can we know if its understated

I know balochistan has low population but if you look at fertility rates than balochistan has higher fertility rate than punjab.

With more population the agriculture land is also shrinking and you are now importing wheat which in the past you used to export

manufacturing is development...not consumption

Overpopulation is not an issue. Issue is corruption and incompeten

I'll play the opposite case here. Over population is a myth. If ten thousand people want to watch a cricket match, you build a big stadium, not wish there were less people.
And you facilitate them
The issue is our superficial imported values and expectations. We feel inferior when getting by on a nominal budget and trying to live the average life, induct kids in an average school and so on. No, we want ostentation. This creates a vicious cycle where we never feel satiated. One house, we want another. One car, another. Invest in jewellery gold. Go on and on. Hoard.
There is a quote from Hazrat Ali RA where someone complained to him about insects growing in stored fruits. He said, be grateful for the insect, they deter rich people to hoard gold and silver only. If not for the insect, they would hoard all the food too!
.
So the issue is the 'keeping up with the Joneses' culture. Everyone wants more and more without any concern for sustainable practices. E..g Israel has conscription, how many of us are willing to train like their teenagers and wake at 5am mandatory? They believe in their cause, they are not burdened like us with superficial fake values trying to lift each other's.

Very easy.
All you have to do is look at avg age, births per 1000, avg income, % of pop that is rural and you'll find very quickly the numbers don't add up.

Yes and with shrinking farmland, the population growth in Bangladesh is declining.

You do realize that Pakistan was one of Asia's best countries when it had less than 40 million people?

I see a lot of confusion here.

The population reduction in Bangladesh occurred due to a number of reasons.

1. Education of women at primary and secondary levels which was helped by "send your girl child to school and get a sack of rice at the end of the month".

2. There were already more girl children than boys in school at the end of the program some thirty years ago (mid 1980's) under Khaleda Zia's rule.

3. Women got educated and got jobs in the 1990s onward. They were less interested in having babies and slaving in a household under "Mother in Law".

4. Unlike Pakistan - there is no social stigma in women pursuing a career in an apparel factory, women have their hostels in which they live together and worked. Or some did from city slums.

5. When they decided to start a family, their education helps in controlling the number of offspring which means fewer babies get a better childhood with better health and education.

6. Their children are now educated and have become business owners and low level govt. servants with a university education. An entire section of society was uplifted from poverty.

The formula is simple - let your women work and produce something of value to be exported overseas to earn some foreign exchange. Let 50% of your workforce contribute to your economy by earning an income.

This movement of liberation and education of women has been replicated in Bangladesh many times over. Destitute bright women with less than financially ideal backgrounds cannot be left behind as rejects of society. They must be given a chance to contribute and add value socially and most importantly - ECONOMICALLY. This is the problem that plagues Muslim countries and must be corrected. Blind conservatism is keeping many Muslim countries backward - we must find creative ways to solve this problem our enemies take advantage of.

Asian University for Women in Bangladesh took in some 5000 destitute Afghan women when the Taliban prohibited women's education there beyond 5th grade. There were quite a few applicants from Pakistan as well. They do not pay one cent for their University education and stay on campus free of cost.

AUW have women studying there from scores of Asian countries. But all come from poor but academically superior backgrounds.
