US-India defence pact to impact Pakistan, China

Like I keep on saying that the two front war thingi is making Indo-China border hostile and the day is not far away when "No bullet fired for decades" would stand null and void. Logically speaking U normalize relations with a country with whom U have overwhelmingly high trade relations rather than containing it.

All I can say is this Its Pakistani Perception and Pakistani Wish And its Narrative to See the World Through its Lenses and Made Vision on Its own observation

Chinese Made first move when they block our Entry in NSG Thinking Ramification Will No come American made another By getting us into MTCR

Its those times When war Is not Fighted on Fields But on Diplomatic Circles Where Chinese are Still Below against US and Its Allies

You did the same in this post as of previous. That is what I am saying that nothing is real in Int'l Politics and the nation's self benefits. As soon as (as the impacts started to show) Russia realized the threat of an old rival (a cold war since long) via India, what is your gist Russia will do. What type of disaster assistance, I mean LEMOA is not talking about rescue and ambulance service it is about access to the bases and future weapons purchases. India bonded Russia with so-called black deal yet given access to the India's bases etc for Russia's arch rival, hope you may understand how it turned into a breach.

Indeed the unnecessary fear of China & Pakistan forced India into this pact otherwise, India could have dealt things with diplomatic manners with all the neighbors but such fear helped US to step-in into India that posed India as an opposition to all anti-US Policies.

The whole pact is based upon cornering China (for US & India both), Russia (for US) and Pakistan (for India) and this alone pact is going to help us form a new alliance in this region. You don't need to tell that what really Russia will see it through this but GoI understands and would have evaluated the same aftermath while signing the pact by readying itself to get away from Russia. This LEMOA in itself is a breach of MOA with Russia whereby India allowed the Russian rival with access to bases. The Indian weapon procurement from west & US is a sign of getting away from Russia. I have my point of view to see these development and that is where you jumped to force your assessment that I do not agree at all in these contexts which seems not feasible.

You will have the Idea as the time passes by.
What leads you to believe that what is common factor which India and US will agree on. That will never be Russia FYI as we Indian pretty much know who our strategic partner is and Russia is one of them. So that point is non starter. LEMOA is not about wepon purchase at all. It's about access to material limited to agreed in list shared already with public. India has given access to Russian machines as wrll. Only you will never come to know it. He he he. I can understand China for a second but Pakistan, seriously??? China is our strategic competitor and we will work to provide it competition value for the money. For the last point it's only for common interest of India and US. Rest is all air filled ballon. Thank you.

Chinese Made first move when they block our Entry in NSG Thinking Ramification Will No come American made another By getting us into MTCR

NSG chapter was just the recent one while Indo-US warming of relations date back to 90s when USSR turned into Russia and was in tatters, while it was China who was rising fast and perceived as next rival by US.

U still didnt get my point. Let me rephrase it:

"U are only needed to do Uncle Sam's job against China which Uncle Sam himself does not want to do."

And that is the only reason US is supporting U out of the way in NSG, MTCR etc etc. Not to forget that U are antagonizing Russia in the long run.

Its not about Pakistan only and I have presented lot more countries in my quote above and the reasons too. Tell me if I am wrong in saying that.
What was Pakistan doing till now? Care to explain whether it was going against China??? No it was fulfilling it's own motives. Only thing that it didn't had the depth of economy on its side. However in our case we will do what we find is OK for our interest, not US. And yes Russia is one of our best strategic partner. Some random country sulking is not going to affect our commitment and relationship with Russia. Thank you.

But still China is giving bad dreams to US and challenging it directly every now and then with latest being South China sea issue.

Did I say something about Pakistan here? Did I call is supa powa or something? Its a fact that our economy had been through thick and thin but thats not the end of world as we are on right path now. We have deviated from main topic so lets call shots. Adios.

India and US can do nothing about CPEC or Pakistan. We are not affected by any such Pacts.

Every country work for its own motives and we are doing the same. So, live with it.

Off topic all the very best wishes four economy. May Allah give the right path to the leadership of Pakistan. On topic, it's analogy, sorry if it hurts. Thank you.

Yes you are not affected by it. However, India can do a lot about CPEC, unless you change the project to exclude our GB part from it.

I am not responsible or aware of what someone said somewhere, I am reacting to what's being said on this thread.

You should be, because it has been said on the same thread in the Indian section.

WASHINGTON: The United States and India on Monday signed a defence agreement that will have a direct impact on both Pakistan and China.

The Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) allows the two allies to use each other’s military facilities for checking China’s growing influence in Asia and in the fight against terrorists.

Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar — in the US on a four-day visit, his second in eight months — will also carry forward talks on acquiring jet engine technology and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). He met US Defence Secretary Ash Carter on Monday.

The text for the logistics cooperation agreement was finalised during a visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Washington in June.

The US and India are also finalising two foundational agreements — the Communications Interoperability and Security Memorandum of Agreement (CISMOA) and Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement for Geo-spatial Cooperation (BECA).

The logistics agreement provides for each country to use the other for supplies, spare parts, services and refuelling. Effectively, US armed forces can operate out of Indian bases, and India can use US bases across the globe.

“China and Pakistan beware — this week, India and US sign major war pact,” warned the Forbes magazine in an article.

The US media noted that the agreement was a key part of the Obama administration’s strategy to contain China, which has been spreading its influence across Asia.

The media reported that the US Navy planned to deploy 60 per cent of its surface ships in the Indo-Pacific in the near future.

The media reports pointed out that unlike Afghanistan and Iraq, where the US had to build everything from scratch, India already had the military facilities the United States could use when needed.

The Indian media, however, warned that such agreements could irk Russia, a long-time Indian ally. But Indian media reports also noted that Prime Minister Modi did not appear much concerned about Russia’s possible reaction to his closeness to the US. The Modi administration had committed itself to building a new alliance with the US and its allies, such as Japan and Australia, the reports added.

The US media noted that India remained on hostile terms with China and this hostility had moved from border disputes to economic and strategic competition for influence.

They noted that the US would like to use the LEMOA to counter China’s growing military might — particularly airbases — in the South China Sea. But the agreement would allow India and the US also to use each other’s facilities against their common enemy, religious terrorism.

The reports noted that a recent bombing by the militant Islamic State group in Bangladesh rang alarm bells in Washington where defence experts were already worried about its efforts to increase its influence in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

“Having LEMOA makes it much simpler for American naval and air forces to fight there. The US does not have actual bases in India. But, it has the next best thing — a simple way to use India’s bases,” Forbes noted.

The magazine described the LEMOA as “the key way-station on agreements still to come of military technology sharing of tremendous importance for India”.

The future agreements, like the CISMOA and BECA, would help India “stand up to the emerging superpower of China”, the report added.

But experts warned that India’s ability to build jet engines or acquire UAV technology from the US would further weaken Pakistan’s conventional defence capability as well.

The United States already recognises India as a Major Defence Partner, helped it join the Missile Technology Control Regime and is willing to provide licences for top US defence technology.

The Forbes article noted that arms India acquired from the US would help it “in many friction points”, such as in the fight against terrorist groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed.

It pointed out that the group was considered an enemy both by the US and India and its chief Masood Azhar was on India’s hit list.

Earlier this year, India tried to persuade the United Nations to declare Mr Azhar a global terrorist but China blocked the move.

“So while the South China Sea may seem far off from India, China is breathing down India’s neck, up close and personal,” Forbes commented.

This is exactly why we Pakistani believe that Moddy is the best person from our point of view to head India. He's taking India, on a fast track, towards it's eventual decimation into several smaller states.

India will be like another vietnam and afghanistan, after the whole game is over. It's going to be the playground where big powers vis-a-vis China and US will play their game.

Feeling sorry for common Indians.
