US "Genuinely Concerned" About China's Military Buildup

Wednesday night Adm. Mike Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, gave a speech to the Asia Society in which he said, "I have moved from being curious to being genuinely concerned" about China's military buildup.

For years there has been an argument among China hands about what Beijing was up to. China's stated goal is territorial defense but it seemed to be investing in equipment such as long range missiles and even an aircraft carrier which traditionally are used to project power overseas.

ASIAN DEFENCE: US "Genuinely Concerned" About China's Military Buildup

Man, the US is concerned about an AC that is not even in service yet, China should be even more concerned about the 11+ ACs that US already has by that logic.

Sooner or later they gotta get used to China's ACs.

The US believes nothing but power. If you want to produce a nuclear bomb, they(US) say you are the threat of the global peace. But when you have 100, you become the 'stake holder'.

I can't help thinking how lucky pakistan and india are while how unlucky NKorea and Iran are.

Chinese people in the past 100 years. More than18,000,000 people were killed.
Now, we just want to avoid a repetition of past history.

Nothing more.

Americans comment on the others before, we should count how many nuclear weapons they have.

Well, the USA military is not REALLY concerned. Our military needs someone to look sufficiently menacing to justify our spending $800 billion on our "defense" budget. So, REALLY, our military says to the Chinese military build-up:

THANK YOU!!!
