BALASORE ( ODISHA ): The Strategic Forces Command of Army on Friday successfully test-fired surface-to-surface nuclear capable short range ballistic missile Prithvi-II from a defence base off the Odisha coast.

As per the programme, three missile variants were to be tested by the three services -- Army, Navy and Air Force.

Of this, a trial of surface-to-air Akash missile was deferred for Saturday. Mounted on Mobile Tatra Transporter-erector Launcher, the indigenously developed Prithvi-II was launched in salvo mode from the launching complex III at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur-on-sea at 10.40 am.

A defence official said that the weapon system had achieved single digit accuracy reaching close to zero circular error probability.

Where did you get the NOTAMs and images ??
Got the NOTAMs and the last image from a Chinese blog (edited the image to specify respective missiles) and made the range estimation image myself on GE.

Prithvi-2 and Brahmos missiles are enough to cover most of Pakistan. 90% of Pakistanis live within 300kms of the indian border..

when you guys have Sub launch BM , what is reason for this Ship launch BM ?
