What's new

Upcoming Pakistani films

well you all might have notice one thing the picture quality of 40 50 year old bollywood movies are very impressive if we compare those whih Pakistani or Bangladeshi film . they had invested heavily in movie industry from beginning and getting the result of the investment .

Bollywood movies and Pakistanis movies 40-50 years ago had the same picture quality. But nowadays Bollywood has better quality because some of our filmmakers still use cameras from the 1970s. We are lucky enough to be living in this digital age. Cameras very cheap now a days and come with great picture quality. Cannon 7D or RED Digital Camera are great cheap cameras for filmmaking. Majority of Korean movies aren't that expensive yet they look amazing. This Korean director made a feature film with his iphone.

movies is a very professional job, some lallu panjus cant just take out cameras and start making films, there have been some independent films getting great success, but these films have meet the standards of the professional industry, others are just considered B rated movie films, one cant just shoot films on street, there high tech equipments and studios

there are actually handing out degrees on film making, acting, music art etc etc

i dont think these films will ever make it into high scenes

what i mean is, we need professional industry for it

Paindoos entering the film industry is the result of Pakistani cinema's downfall. I'm not saying inexperienced people should start making movies. But a good movie can only be made if you have a good vision for it. You do need professional equipment men and camera men but I was strictly talking about the director at that time. If the screenplay is good and the director has a good vision then it doesn't matter if the movie was made for $5k or $20 million.

Look at El Mariachi it was made on a budget of $7,000. Also this independent movie called Primer that too was made on a budget of 7k but it looks just like any other Hollywood movie.

Pakistani old classic movies had great quality in music, acting and direction and gave good competition to Indian old movies but Pakistani cinema started getting declined after 1985

and look at indian movies, they make abs crap movies, but even this crap is handled with professional tools

untill Bollywood movies (perhaps Indian movies) are there in Pakistan, Pakistani entertainment industry wont get the boost it needs.

Not true. Indian dramas/channels were popular in Pakistan 10-15 years ago, but ever since more and more Pakistani dramas/channels have emerged no one even watches indian channels anymore.

Same thing will happen to film industry, once more and more good Pakistani films are released bollywood will lose its popularity in Pakistan

if we start making good films, our industry will take over bollcrap

indians are already getting away from traditional bollywood music and hiring our musicians

Pakistan lacks filmmaking facilities. We don't even have a digital post production lab anywhere in Pakistan. These kinds of movies are a starting point for us. When the public starts liking these movies, filmmaking technique will improve as investments will start flowing in. Unless ofcourse you like Gujjar badmash and Maula Jatt type of movies

come on, how many Pakistani singers have you seen singing Hindi songs?? in the last 3 years around 10 songs are sung by Pakistani (bollywood music) and you claim we are hiring Pakistani musician !!

Actually you are wrong . Khuda ke Liye was "critically" much much better than most of our standard lame-comedy Bollywood fare. But critical , artistic movies do not appeal to the general public. They (at least in the subcontinent ) hunker after excess melodrama, song and dance etc.

If you are to make The Lollywood industry cash rich and mass-appealing , you cant deviate from standard staple demand i.e melo-dramatic crap.

Critical movies are only good for winning awards , not for business.
