Unveiling ceremony of 8 dual seat JF-17 Thunder Jets held at PAC Kamra

Actually we have seen 601,602, 603 and 604 in PAF livery which mean 26+4=30 JF-17B in total as per current status in published articles and pics

Additional JF-17B produced or spotted in Pakistan other then current 8 JF-17B shown in roll-out ceremony, keep in mind the official photo release for the rollout ceremony of latest batch of 8 JF-17B produces in Pakistan shows at least 10 JF-17Bs

17-601

602[02] was also spotted in China dated 07-12-2017

but we spotted the same in Kamra when Fakhur-e-Alam release the pics of his recent visit to Kamra

03 in Pakistan (Date 12-09-2018)View attachment 596546

In my opinion 03 is 19-603 shown in official livery of PAF with other JF-17B

Pic attached below predates the roll-out ceremony and was taken in Pakistan and was released in 2019

and last one 19-604 in China

so all in all as of today we have 12 JF17B and 18 more [14 in 2020 + 4 in 2021] will join so we will have 30 JF-17B in total

therefore Final tally would be:
Blk-I ---- 50
Blk-2 ---- 50
Blk-2 ---- 12 [additional]
Blk-2B --- 30
Blk-3 ----- 02 [would be produced in year 2020]
Total --- 144

2 block 3 are ready , aren’t they? So if we produce 2 more in 2020 = 4 in total

If 2P-65B is the first aircraft rolled out in 2019, that means 17-601 (2P-63B) and xx-602 (2P-64B) were small batch production (SBP) aircraft.

So, there are a total of 28× JF-17Bs in pipeline.

50 Block 1 + 62 Block 2 + 28 Block 2B = 140.

These would cover 7× squadrons (5 already operational) + CCS.

I guess JF-17Bs would be distributed 4× aircraft per squadron.

Actually I'm not too sure.

First, we need to see photos of 2P-63 and 2P-64. They could easily turn out to be 2P-63 B and 2P-64 B. Until we see the photos with these numbering on the aircrafts, it is yet to be confirmed.

Secondly, there are three (yes, 3) prototypes of Bravos. I was made aware of this here yesterday by couple of brothers.
  • Prototype number BC0001 has been designated 17-601.
  • Prototype number 02 is still in China as a prototype.
  • Prototype 03 has been designated 19-602.
So we have the above 3 Bravos, if 2P-63 and 2P-64 turn out to be 2P-63 B and 2P-64 B, that's 5 Bravos in total. Add to that 2P-65 B to and including 2P-72 B (8 in total), that would total to 13 Bravos by the end of this year.

For 2020, 14 Bravos are confirmed to be built and in 20214 more.

So, overall it could total to: 13 + 14 + 4 = 31 Bravos

Allah Knows Best

Let's wait and see when more photos come out.

I think 2-3 of them will be based at PAC permanently to help test the development and integration of new platforms onto the JF17 platform. That is one of the key advantages of the 2 seater, in helping the development and testing of local munitions for the JF17 inside Pakistan. I truly expect more integraiton of new munitions both home grown, and off the shelf from Turkey, and the West onto the JF17 now that the integration lab is fully functional in Pakistan !!! ie Platforms and systems that suppliers didnot want to send to China for integration, can now be fully done and certified in Pakistan.

@HRK

Thanks guys!

So, I assume that

2P-01 to 2P-62 are JF-17A (Block 2)

17-601 and 19-602 are JF-17B (Block 2) prototypes accepted into service

2P-63B and 2P-64B are 19-603 and 19-604 respectively - Small batch production (SBP) aircraft

2P-65B to 2P-72B - Serial production aircraft - completed Dec 2019

.
.
.

2P-73B to 2P-86B - To be produced in 2020
2P-87B to 2P-90B - TBP in 2021.

How do you declassify the tail numbers?

I mean 19-603? What does it mean?

How do you declassify the tail numbers?

I mean 19-603? What does it mean?

Breakdown of 19-603
19 = Year it was produced
6 = Represents Dual Seater for PAF
03 = Third dual seater for PAF

Don't know if "6" represents Dual Seaters from Block-2 only or it will also represent the Dual Seaters from Block-3 as well (if any Block-3 Dual Seaters are produced).

I would go with Pakistan Space Agency reply ... with little correction
19 = Year of Acceptance in PAF services

Not sure if it mentioned anything about it being solely for the navy? Please correct me if im wrong.

MoDP Yearbook 2017-18 mentioned it as:

Indigenous Dev of Supersonic Missile for PN.

COMMENT: Surface-launched supersonic cruise missiles are usually in the 2 - 3 ton range.

Even the air-launched version of Brahmos is at 2.5 tons.

The Sukhoi Su-30MKI with twice the payload of JF-17 can carry only 1× Brahmos - i.e. on its belly hardpoint.

iafsukhoi-1511361172.jpg

JF-17A (Block 1, 2) can carry 2× CM-400AKG air-to-ground missiles. Here is a Block 1 JF-17A belonging to the Peshawar-based No. 26 Black Spiders. (1× CM-400AKG = 910 kg)

zSp41Te.jpg

The HD-1A is at 1.2 tons, and it is very possible that the Block 3, with increased payload & wing strengthening, can carry 2× HD-1A in a similar manner with 1× drop tank on the centreline hardpoint.

For longer-range missions, the config could be 2× drop tanks and 1× missile.

We have the capability considering the range of ALCMs, SLCMs and ASCMs we produce.

Wonder if we will see a new variant of Raad?

What qualifies you to make such an statement?
What's your educational background? Aviation/Aircraft Engineering? Which fighter jets did you participate in designing?

Looks like you are wasting your time on the web, should apply for the chief designer role in PAC.

Poorly designed aircraft ... must say Chinese car ... front BMW, back mercedes, left right audi... I mean you have to be original and more realistic... look pregnant aircraft to me... copy-paste of several aircraft including Gripen ....
