Well ... whatever Navy or Coast Guard, now China has the largest ships in the region. Although the report said the quantity of China ships more than numbers owned by U.S ... but the quality of ships still weaker than U.S Navy. Anyways China is a rising power, our ships still becoming bigger, now just behind the U.S.

Japan has good quality ships,past years Japan Navy still ahead of PLAN ... just many 052C/D & AIP subs built in China r reducing the gap between Japan and China Navy, the quality & quantity of PLAN new ships r improving year by year, i do believe when China 055 & AC & LPH out in the immediate future, no doubt China can surpass Japan Navy. China is a big country, as the rising country has bigger potential in this region. The China ships building speed is very fast as same as U.S ever did in 1980s-1990s, my friends ! Next years China continue focus on building new 052D & 055 DDGs + Aircraft Carriers + LPHs, PLAN quality will improve very well.
