ANKARA - "MPT-76 Manufacturing Contract" was signed between Undersecretariat and Sarsılmaz Silah Sanayi AŞ within the scope of Modern Infantry Rifle Project carried out under the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry.

In the written statement made by the Undersecretariat, the signing ceremony was attended by Undersecretary of Defense Ismail Demir and stated that "Within the scope of the project to be delivered to the Land Forces Command, Naval Forces Command and Gendarmerie General Command unions and to supply MPT-76, 10 thousand MPT-76 All design, development and qualification activities have been carried out with national possibilities, and in the mass production phase of MPT-76, the aim is to meet the light weapon requirement of all friendly and allied countries, primarily our armed forces. " .

With this contract, production speed of MPT-76 is boosted.
