Altay tank seems like a wasted investment it seems, unless the project can remove its heavy dependence on MTU engine being embargoed or not.

This modernization project is for the M60T. Not for the M60A3. The M60A3 has a separate program.
M60T modernization project includes laser warning system, air conditioning system, active protection system (pulat), auxiliary power unit, remote controlled weapon station, driver's vision system, Yamgoz 360° camera system...

M60T Project;

M60a3 Project;
additional armor package, laser warning system, remote controlled weapon station, Yamgoz 360° camera system and similar systems with M60T.
