ODTU RUZGEM Large Scale Wind Tunnel Construction site as of today:

This is a couple of hundreds of meters from where I work. When completed this will be the largest operational wind tunnel in Turkey. And it will eliminate our dependency on Italy and the UK for wind tunnel tests of our defense industry products as well as large buildings and structures.

Guys, is this a "supersonic" wind tunnel?

Only one that I know of, but it has a cross section of 3-5 cm. While it could still be used for some purely scientific research and undergraduate demonstrations, it is far from being enough for industrial applications.
How are they going to test TFX's geometry for supersonic speeds? Foreign wind tunnel?

3-5 cm diameter doesn't sound like one can fit a scaled model in there and get any meaningful testing done.

Thanks for post bro, it’s a start and good one, hopefully we ll have supersonic one in near future.

As far as I remember ATAK's and Hurkus' tests were done in Politecnico di milano. Although in theory it is still possible to do TFX's tests there I sincerely hope we don't. Because that is a national security risk. Maybe other universities or companies have larger supersonic wind tunnels?
