Turkey launches national satellite

Lol, stop crying like a typical troll. Turkey is classified a Newly Industrialized Country, same as India.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newly_industrialized_country

India is one among top 6 in Space & Nuclear technology, is the world's sixth largest R&D spender & files far more patents than Turkey in USPTO . What is your definition of high tech ?

In your list, india has more "R&D" spending than even UK and France. I'm sure shit hole..i mean india..is more advanced than UK and France as well :rofl:

Furthermore, in your other list, small and irrelevant Austria (NOT even Austrailia, but Austria!!) has more "patents" than india

Shows how utterly non-consequential your lists are and how irrelevant your desperation to show your backwards shit hole country in any positive light is

"Advancement" is holisticic measure---and not some one or two category comparison.

Turkey is far, far more advanced nation than india where majority of population lacks even basic toilets. india is actually a big open air shit-hole since majority of its population shits in open

Turkey's per capita income (PPP) is 25,000+ while india is under 10k. In terms of nominal GDP per capita, average Turk earns more than 5 times per year than average indian. Turkish defence exports are much bigger than india's. Turkish healthcare and education system is top tier. Its infrastructure is high-income levels while india is extremely poor.

But hey, one list puts india above Turkey (and UK and France) in terms of spending---yayyy, india is more "advanced" than Turkey

indian space program or missile program is only more developed than Turkey's because of national priorities.

Pakistan's nuclear weapons and missile program is far ahead than Canada's. Doesn't change the fact that as a nation, Canada is far more advanced than us.

Same goes in your case. india might have a more comprehensive space program--means zilch. Turkey is far more advanced country than backward, shit-poor india. Hell, Turkey has transnational high-speed railway program and its firms build some of the most advance/largest/complex infrastructural project in the world.

india can not even provide clothes or shelter to its population. Forget about anything else. Even Iran is probably more advanced than backwards india

Don't tyt too hard dear. I gauged your knowledge about R&D & technology industry when you started talking about toilets in a discussion exclusively about R&D.

Turkey's per capita income (PPP) is 25,000+ while india is under 10k.

I dare you to compare their per capita GDP with China and say that Turkey is ahead of China in R&D. Do it, please. Or wait, even better claim Ireland is ahead of Germany in R&D.

n your list, india has more "R&D" spending than even UK and France. I'm sure shit hole..i mean india..is more advanced than UK and France as well :rofl:

Lol, look up the number of patents filed by France & UK in USPTO and then talk. Developing countries like India need to spend more to catch up with the developed world & establish R&D facilities which costs a lot more. Like this one.

Furthermore, in your other list, small and irrelevant Austria (NOT even Austrailia, but Austria!!) has more "patents" than india

Austria is irrelevant than a commodity based economy like Australia ? Do you know the number of R&D centers in Austria ? Even the famous ones in Auto Industry like Magna Steyr or AVL ? Or even Glock ?

and its firms build some of the most advance/largest/complex infrastructural project in the world.

And India can't ? A very small list here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delhi_Metro ($18 billion)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delhi_Mumbai_Industrial_Corridor_Project ($90 billion)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dedicated_Freight_Corridor_Corporation_of_India ($14 billion)

indian space program or missile program is only more developed than Turkey's because of national priorities.

Yes, it is 'only' more developed because we did the R&D, which is the whole point in first place. R&D in strategic sectors such as Space & Nuclear are always based on national priorities & are a major contributors in technology development. I guess you will say they are irrelevant even after a decade and half, when we start big on thorium fueled reactors.

And the on the number of patents filed is a good indicator of R&D sector, which in this case favours India. Indian Engineering R&D sector is already huge.

According to a new study by consulting firm Zinnov, out of $31 billion which was spent globally on Engineering related R&D, India alone accounted for $12.3 billion. This means that 40% of global budget on such high end R&D were spent in India in activities such as establishing R&D centers, hiring top scientists in this niche, and outsourcing engineering research projects into India. This is a steady increase of 8.3% compared to last year.

Pakistan's nuclear weapons and missile program is far ahead than Canada's. Doesn't change the fact that as a nation, Canada is far more advanced than us.

You do realize that Canada have R&D in civilian PHWRs ? The comparison with Pakistan is not valid as Pakistan doesn't rely on indigenous R&D or technology. There is a dearth published papers by Pakistani labs, which allude to something.

if you can biuld a satalite its not problem its about money im sure israel could do so
We all know Israel can do so please dont remind us. We had one member recently that reminded us what Israel can do in his every post in the turkish and the middle east section... We are tired of this.

Turkey will sign an agreement with Airbus on Nov. 9 for the production of Turksat 5A and Turksat 5B communications satellites, Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan said on Oct. 26.

The contract will be signed by Airbus Defense and Space (Airbus D&S) during the Global SatShow in Istanbul and the production of satellites will start immediately afterwards, Arslan told Anadolu Agency.

Arslan said that three top international firms had bid for the job: the French-U.K. partnership Airbus D&S, Japan’s Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and the Canadian-U.S. partnership MDA/Space System Loral.

“All of them were technically qualified. However, Airbus made the best bid during the negotiations both financially and in terms of domestic contribution,” Arslan said.

Turkey aims to launch the Turksat 5A by 2020 and the Turksat 5B by 2021, he added.
