Wow...never knew Russia was involved in HQ-9 designs. Thought it was 100% chinese.

Especially when HQ-9 was developed by Almaz-Antey and a big part of this system China imports from Russia.

btw, China can't produce HQ-9 in big numbers, maybe two battalions (battalion = one system) per year at best.

If you order Russian S-400, While talking How superior and effective your S-300 copy is in a Turkish tender, The costumers who you are planning to deal with, start to worry about your capabilities on such technologies. Why do you get this situation as abnormal ?

At the beginning of tender, The Turkish missile makers had strongly objected to outsource such a critical technology to abroad and They told How superior equivalent SAM system can be developed If they are charged to do it indigenously. It is the pure victory of Turkish institutes objected this Long Altitude deal.

No, its Aselsan/Roketsan collaboration, Aselsan for electronics/Radar systems and Roketsan for the rocked/lauch platform.

Conceptual design is in 2013-2014.

Long range radar systems will be ready around 2019.

Aselsan-Roketsan collaboration foresees 7 years for ready to fire matured Hisar-U missiles. It might be booster added variant of Hisar-O and RF+IR seeker combination.

They say it might be ready in 7 years but lets say 10, the reason to ask Chinese for ToT was to find a fast solution for the gap regarding air defense but didnt work, now its gonna take longer but in the end it will be a indigenous system that can be integrated into NATO Systems which is way better than a standalone system in case of Chinese ToT.
